Ms*** bathroom project is completeShe was told several times that we could not give her a time line due to the unknown challenges her 60-70+ year old bathroom would presentDuring our initial meeting she told us that she didn't care how long it took because she had access to
another bathroom (we did everything possible to finish her project in a timely manner). The length of time included waiting on plumbers and additional tile that was ordered for her job after it began. As she can see in her change order that she was not charged for soap dishes and the charge for corner shelves were also removedIt's unfortunate that she is displeased by the length of time it took to brainstorm logical solutions and work on her very challenging remodel. Again we don't allow our customers to dictate our prices for labor and materials, therefore her bill remains unpaid by $and will be turned into collections on August 20,if not paid in full

I am rejecting this response because:
I was promised (verbally) that the project was not to take longer than days (project was initially planned for days while I was gone out of town for a work-related training). Interior Images is not truthful about the timeline at all. On the first day of demolition, I received a call from their project manager stating, "Good News! It's not as bad as we thought it could be. Everything is as scheduled, and we should be done by the end of the week!" I DID NOT say I didn't care how long it took, as I had stated that the bathroom being worked on was the ONLY bath I could use.
My displeasure with this project is due to the fact that Interior Images has not made any attempt to admit fault. Their workmen NEVER came to work during the week. The fact is that the project was not so complicated that it would take weeks to "brainstorm" to complete!!! The fact is that they never came to work until I called them repeatedly to ask when they were going to come to work to complete the project. I never got a direct answer, and they always had an excuse...daughter sick, daughter's dance recital, had to go to a branding, etcetc. THE ISSUE I HAVE WAS THAT I WAS NOT TREATED AS A REGULAR CUSTOMER SHOULD HAVE BEEN TREATED; I was an after-thought, a weekend project. THE ISSUE IS THAT THEY DID NOT COME TO WORK DURING THE WEEK (Monday through Friday) as expected. Again, the project was not SO DIFFICULT that it had to take weeks' worth of work. They took weeks to do days' worth of work. Come on! A small tile job around the tub area--about 5' x 6' at most! weeks!! Really?
There are no corner "shelves" that one could put anything on. The ceiling is still crumbly, and not sealed from wall to ceiling I am not trying to get out of paying what's due. Just asking for Interior Images to admit to their breach of agreement and say, "I'm sorry, we really took too long to do that tiny project in your bathroom. Here's a $discount for every week you didn't get to use your bathroom." $a week for inconvenience seems fair to me. I would gladly pay $for them to admit to their fault, even if the project is not complete at this point. I really do not want to be inconvenienced any more. Just admit it took a lot longer than it should have because you didn't want to give it due time...because this was a really small project. Don't bid on small jobs if you don't want to or can't do them. Don't go back on your word, and tell untruths. Humility and honesty are great qualities for anyone to have!

Again, Interior Images is sorry for the frustration Ms. [redacted] felt during her project, she was never verbally promised that it would only take four days. Her project is complete, her ceiling was not worked on because she stated that she would be having a friend finish that.
As previously stated, we do not allow customers to dictate our price for labor and materials. [redacted]' invoice has a remaining balance of $1000.00.

I am rejecting this response because:
WOW!  Interior Images is truly unprofessional, and not mindful of their customers.  The job is not complete.  I DID NOT say I had a friend who could finish the job.  Oh, did they just admit that the job is not complete?!  The ceiling is crumbling, and walls are not sealed.  I am not trying to "get a discount" for the job after the fact.  I just feel wronged by their careless treatment of me as a customer, and the project in general.  And now, they still will not admit fault?!  WOW!
Regards,
[redacted]
