Review: On 9/22/2015, I finalized a contract with Interior Motif to install closets for my apartment. The contract was made with clear and agreed upon design specifications done by their staff ([redacted]). On 9/30, [redacted] and his other team member were unable to install the closets during the day for the guest room closet. The living room closet, which is also the most expensive one was partially installed and different from the design specifications and not meeting my storage needs.
It turns out that the supplies that [redacted] had brought in were measured to specifications. On 9/30, My entire family including my 2 year old son took refuge at a neighbor's home because all closets were not in a condition to be refilled with our belongings. We spoke to their office who assured us that everything would be completed by next day.
On 10/1, [redacted] came back and added some more pieces but still did not complete the installation. The living room closet was installed completely on [redacted] own preference and did not meet the design. Half of the guest closet was incomplete.
On 10/2, [redacted] assured us that he would fix the closets within the week. His office charged $1000 on my credit card even without completing the installation, giving a reason that most of the work was done.
On 10/9, after repeatedly calling their office, [redacted] told me that he has ordered additional supplies and will try to install by 10/23 - way beyond the time we agreed to. As a result, we had to cancel the event we were to hold in our apartment on 10/10. We have had to put all our belongings in the incomplete closets just so we can function around the house. There is a whole lot of clutter that obstructs us everyday because [redacted] had changed his mind again.
[redacted] shows no refund or regret and shows no sign of responsibility. He says that the company 'Interior Motif' is his own and he thinks we should bear the inconvenience as if it's part of this business. This is borderline harassment.Desired Settlement: I expect Interior Motif need to
-Rework and complete the faulty closets as per design and issue a partial refund for the delay in installation
-Issue a full refund + Remove the partial installation and reimburse us for restoring our closets to original and the utter discomfort this transaction has put us through
