***Document Attached [redacted] Mr [redacted] 's claim is ridiculousAt no time did I, or would I ever have agreed to a "Keep working until the money runs out" situationIncluding myself, I have never known any person or business that would agree to such an open-ended contractMr [redacted] was aware and acknowledged that I had a budget and is now attempting to assert that I told him the sky was the limit in regards to the amount of money to be spent on the projectThe agreement we had was to finish the vehicle with all parts and labor for $7,Attached is a text conversation between Mr [redacted] and myself where he notifies me that he will not be able to complete the work as originally promised for $3,At this point, the truck was sitting without an engine, transmission, etcand original materials had been removedMy response to him was if it takes another $3,500, then so be itThis brought the total amount to $7,to "get it done" as Mr [redacted] statedPlease also keep in mind that the money didn't "run out" as Mr [redacted] claimsHe admitted to overcharging me for labor, after the fact, and I still had an available balance with himThis, coupled with his ludicrous claim that it took hours of labor to run wires from the vehicle cab to the engine compartment (A task that should have taken 3-hours MAXIMUM) and also hours of labor to install the rear endThese inflated charges are what ate up the funds availableMr [redacted] now admits to having "self taught" people working on the vehicle and expects me to pay for the learning curve they were underHis agreed to price of $7,was more than adequate to complete this project at any reputable business offering the same servicesIt was only after Mr [redacted] discovered that due to the incompetence of the employees at his shop, including himself, it was taking longer to get the job done and possibly eating into his own pocketThis was his fault, NOT mineWhen a business quotes you a price to do a job, the oneness is on them to see it through to completionI can also attach pictures of some of the work that was done that clearly show they did not finish, despite the fact that Mr [redacted] says WAS finished- I have his own text messages to prove this as wellBeing that the work that was done is so shoddy, it will require everything to be completely disassembled and the project will be required to start from scratch, incurring additional costs above and beyond what Mr [redacted] has taken from usI was promised a running, driving, completed vehicle for $7,and this is what I expected to receiveInstead, our truck sits in a state of disrepair and even if it were running would be unsafe to driveThank you, [redacted] (image)

Dear sirs,
This short note is in response to complaint #[redacted] filed by [redacted] and [redacted]. The complaint is somewhat misleading in that it infers that Sparks Speed Shop did not complete work on their truck after receiving payment for the work. In fact the work on the truck was being done on a "time and materials" basis and being paid in increments. The work was being done in stages and [redacted] did not allow Sparks Speed Shop to complete all the work required. To now complain that the work was not completed when the truck owners did not allow Sparks Speed shop to complete the work is unfair.

[redacted]Document Attached[redacted]
Mr. [redacted]'s claim is ridiculous. At no time did I, or would I ever have agreed to a "Keep working until the money runs out" situation. Including myself, I have never known any person or business that would agree to such an open-ended contract. Mr [redacted] was aware and acknowledged that I had a budget and is now attempting to assert that I told him the sky was the limit in regards to the amount of money to be spent on the project. The agreement we had was to finish the vehicle with all parts and labor for $7,000. Attached is a text conversation between Mr [redacted] and myself where he notifies me that he will not be able to complete the work as originally promised for $3,500. At this point, the truck was sitting without an engine, transmission, etc. and original materials had been removed. My response to him was if it takes another $3,500, then so be it. This brought the total amount to $7,000 to "get it done" as Mr [redacted] stated. Please also keep in mind that the money didn't "run out" as Mr [redacted] claims. He admitted to overcharging me for labor, after the fact, and I still had an available balance with him. This, coupled with his ludicrous claim that it took 24 hours of labor to run wires from the vehicle cab to the engine compartment (A task that should have taken 3-4 hours MAXIMUM) and also 20 hours of labor to install the rear end. These inflated charges are what ate up the funds available. Mr [redacted] now admits to having "self taught" people working on the vehicle and expects me to pay for the learning curve they were under. His agreed to price of $7,000 was more than adequate to complete this project at any reputable business offering the same services. It was only after Mr [redacted] discovered that due to the incompetence of the employees at his shop, including himself, it was taking longer to get the job done and possibly eating into his own pocket. This was his fault, NOT mine. When a business quotes you a price to do a job, the oneness is on them to see it through to completion. I can also attach pictures of some of the work that was done that clearly show they did not finish, despite the fact that Mr [redacted] says WAS finished- I have his own text messages to prove this as well. Being that the work that was done is so shoddy, it will require everything to be completely disassembled and the project will be required to start from scratch, incurring additional costs above and beyond what Mr [redacted] has taken from us. I was promised a running, driving, completed vehicle for $7,000 and this is what I expected to receive. Instead, our truck sits in a state of disrepair and even if it were running would be unsafe to drive. Thank you, [redacted] (image)

I am the owner and a response was sent by my attorney on Monday of this week. This situation will be handled in court. If the Revdex.com has more questions, I will be happy to have my attorney answer the questions.
