Like most complexes we depend on the resident to let us know about roaches or bedbugs. The tenant lived in the apartment...

several months before the bedbug issue which was never issue until the tenant. We give them a procedure that every tenant get a list they must do before we can began treatment. Ms. [redacted] never returned the signed paperwork or called to say she completed the list. I sent her a letter telling her to please let me know so we could take care of the issue immediately which she just finally did the first week of August we do 3 treatments and she has only received one and another one today we do it every 10 days as that is what the treatment calls for. She was aware she was moving into an older complex she was able to see the apartment before she moved and could of changed her mind. I was missing for 2 days I broke my foot and had to have surgery but she had numbers available to call in case of emergency. As far as the roach issues is was taken care or soon as I received a call from her about. The A/c unit we fixed to my knowledge with no more calls from her we thought the problem was fixed. The tenant was in my office yesterday and last week and nothing was said. Tenant is responsible to let us know so we can maintain the apartment which we have no issues with. I am sorry she is unhappy and as far as breaking her lease she was sent a 10 day to vacate so she could of moved without breaking lease. It has only been a month and only one of these problems is still issue which is normal with bedbugs that she brought to the apartment she must also do her part in order for the bedbugs to be taken care of. We will do anything we can to make resident happy but we also know we can't please everyone. We have trained maintenance when a unit gets low on r-22 it freezes the lines which we do have to shut off unit to unfreeze before we can add r-22 this is normal for any central unit. Her A/c unit is in working order and did not need to be replaced or we would have replaced the machine. We have changed several machines out when necessary. As far the complex being full of roaches is not true we maintain our apartments and we keep records of all maintenance issues and calls from tenants.

WE will fix any of the necessary issues however you must report them to the office. The bed bugs we are working on but it also requires you to do your part or the the treatment won't work. As far as the roaches and A/c soon as you called about those issues I immediately had maintenance come over and take care of it. You have not called me back to telling me you were still having issues or I would have sent them back . I am in the office from 9-5 Monday thru Friday I missed 2 days for my foot surgery other than that I am always here so I have no idea where you getting that from and my voicemail works 24/7 365 days a year. If the a/c and roaches are still an issue please let me know and I will handle it . As far as the age of apartments you knew this when you moved in you applied and accepted the apartment with knowing what the apartment looks like. You have been in my office the last 2 weeks and never once did you mention roaches or Ac . I sent you a letter about what you had to do for the bedbugs and you didn't do what you were suppose to then I had to send you another letter. We can not treat the apartment if you don't do what you need to do. I even told you everything you needed to do before and after in which you never returned the signed paper letting me know these things were done as required. As far as you getting out of your lease you have a right to move anytime you want to but you will still be responsible for the fees as we have been trying to fix any and all issues you have. Without proper communication from you I can not maintain your apartment. As far exterminate the whole complex the building you live in has been done plus non of your neighbors have called about having roaches or bedbugs. I am sorry your unhappy but you must also remember you have no idea what we do on a daily basis but you are entitled to your opinion. I have more happy residents then upset ones I do take my job seriously but I know I can't please everyone.

She did Set dates to have some one come out and get the bugs out of here,both roaches and bedbugs. Some one did come look at my a.c and she said that they will replace it because I believe that's why my electric bill is so high.She even offered to let me use a window a.c while mine is getting replaced. she offered to take money off of my next month's rent because my electric bill is really high she has still been really nice and willing to get things fixed.I hope that we can move forward and everything works out for the best.Thank You
