Review: We ordered a Thomasville sectional sofa and ottoman from this business on 1 March 2013. They promised us the product within 12 weeks of order. The sectional was the first to arrive, on time, in about 10 weeks. The ottoman did not arrive until 14 weeks later. This took many many phone calls to their staff and very poor treatment overall. The were extremely cavalier in the attitude and did not care one way or another. This is not the problem I want to address but gives you some background as to their attitude.When the ottoman arrived it was not what we ordered. It was 2 inches too short. The ottoman we ordered was 17 inches in height and the ottoman that arrived was 15 inches. We called the store to complain and the sales lady, [redacted], told us that it was good for your back to have an ottoman lower than the couch. She said she would look into it.I then called the store manager and stated my problem about the ottoman and she was very nice and said that she would look into it.Then I get a phone call from the owner stating that we have the correct height for the ottoman because it is 17 inches just like the specs on the order. I told him that it was 15 inches NOT 17 inches like we ordered. The ottoman cost $1,400. He told me I have a choice either they come get the ottoman and give us money back or they get all the furniture and give money back! I JUST WANT WHAT I ORDERED! He even admitted the order is wrong but REFUSES to deliver it! Crazy.Desired Settlement: I want the exact ottoman I ordered. The owner told me that it was not an option. I could either give it all back, for a refund or keep it. That's it! The ottoman is spec'ed out in the book to be 17 inches high. I want what I ordered. That's it! Thank you for your help in this matter.

Thank you for helping me with this matter. It is clear from the letter that **. [redacted] has sent that he has a pattern of telling false statements. First, I NEVER used profane language in any way shape or form with his employees. I did, however, use direct language in questioning their estimates for delivery in which they promised. What they consider to be harrassing or aggressive language from a customer that has been lied to, time and again, is far from what they would receive in most cases in any other business.

Most importantly, **. [redacted] (the President and Owner) has lied directly about the product they delivered. It is NOT what I ordered and he knows it. He has lied on another medium in which I posted a review as well. The product they delivered was NOT the correct height, it was 15 inches high. The order specs are for an ottoman that is 17 inches high. I told him I have pictures of this to back up my claim. The Thomasville model number for the ottoman is [redacted]. On the Thomasville website and according to a Thomasville representative that I have conferred with, this ottoman's specification is 17 inches in height! NOT 15 inches that they delivered.

**. [redacted] called me and told me that I had a 17 inch high ottoman. When I told him that it was only 15 inches in height and that I would send him a picture of this with a tape measure proving this fact, he refused and said he was 'tired' of dealing with it. He is running a sham of a business by allowing customers to order over-priced furniture and then not delivering it.

The fact that **. [redacted], President and Owner, chooses to back up his claims with lies is very upsetting. Shameful.

Additionally, **. [redacted]'s store charged $1,400 for the ottoman. When I contacted a Thomasville representative, they informed me that they sell the same product, retail for $804!! That is a 43% higher price than the recommended price. Shameful again.

I am rejecting this response because:

Thank you again for working on this issue. The actions and photographs sent by **. [redacted] are very disappointing and prove his dishonesty in this matter. The pictures he sent do not show the full length of the measuring tool he used to claim that it was 17 inches from the floor. I have included pictures that do include the full measuring instrument.

The first two pictures are the ottoman shortly after delivery. Please note the height of the ottoman as it is compared to the height of the couch.

The second two pictures are of the measuring of the height of the couch with a BLACK piece of tape at the 17 inch mark. The TOP of the black tape is exactly 17 inches from the floor.

Comparing the first set of pictures to the second set of pictures clearly shows that the ottoman was well below the 17 inch mark. **. [redacted] has flat out not told the truth in this matter and has gone as far as to fabricate false evidence.

If **. [redacted]'s claims are true, that he delivered the correct ottoman, what would my motive be in this matter? To return the ottoman that I ordered? To get a rash of problems from this business? To go through the trouble to alert the public?

I have now ordered the correct ottoman for $400 less than **. [redacted]'s store charged. I have also alerted numerous friends that have done thousands of dollars of business with Interiors (including a close friend that has purchased over $20,000 worth of furniture from him) of the dishonesty and fabrication of information produced by **. [redacted]
