Review: I am contacting the Revdex.com regarding a denial of refund from NJ INTERLOK DEVICE.My current situation is I received a credit for my last months of rental in the amount of $106.47. I contacting NJ INTERLOK on July 16, 2015 requesting a refund rather than a credit due to my circumstances. I was told since I had a credit before that I could not be refunded my rental. The first time I had the device installed I had to have it uninstalled due to the DMVs error. I had to have in uninstalled and received a credit that was applied when I had it reinstalled May 2015. My mother feel ill this year and is in her 4th stage of cancer and I had to relocate to NM. Again, the circumstances were out of my control. All I am asking for is little compassion and get a refund , even if its half of what was credited. I had to get the device removed cause I was moving out of state and have it reinstalled here in NM. If the systems talked I would still have my device on the car but was told I had to get it removed and reinstalled here. My entire experience with the device has been a total nightmare. I made a mistake and definitely have paid my dues. I am starting for literally zero here in NM and need this credit to get the device installed on my car so I can find employment. I do not feel I have been treated fairly and hoping the Revdex.com will be able to help and if not at least my complaint is recorded on record for someone else this might affect in the future.Lost and in despair.[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $ 106.47 rather than a credit due to the fact I will not be back to NJ and need this refund to get the device installed here in NM.

We understand your struggle and are sorry to hear about your mother. In regard to your complaint: After you contacted us, and told us of your situation we checked to see how many days you used the device and decided to refund a pro-rated amount. You had the device for a total of 54 days between both times. We had a contract that stated you would pay $99.50 (plus Tax) per month and you paid a total of 2 months. The break down of this is as follows:5/22/14 - 5/30/14 = 8 days5/9/15 - 6/17/15 = 38 days6/17/15- 6/25/15 = 8 days Total 54 daysThe prorated amount per day would be $3 per day times 6 days shy of 60 so the total refund would be $18.00. This is what was offered to you yesterday before making the complaint, you accepted and the refund is going through.Also please keep in mind, we did not charge an "early termination fee" both times you had the device removed before the contract, that you signed, was up which would have equated to $212.94. We also, in good faith, gave you a credit from the first time you had it in and removed, which by the contract was not our obligation. Your circumstances are unfortunate and we would like to help that is why we calculated out the days and are refunding the unused portion of your rent.
