Intermountain is repaving [redacted]. in [redacted], **. I have lived in this neighborhood 13 years and have never seen such a traffic mess. They have the lights turned off, you cannot get in or out of my neighborhood, you sit and wait behind lines of cars. This job needed to be done at night because of all the traffic on this road. We left for Reno, NV on November 5th hoping to come home to the job completed. Instead it has been days of havoc. We are unable to turn into our own neighborhood, let alone get out or go miles out of your way to miss the BIG mess these people have created.Whoever made the decision to do this during the day made the wrong call.Desired SettlementI just want an explanation of why this had to be done during daytime hours.Business Response Intermountain Slurry Seal is under contract to perform resurfacing in the area and has to follow strict guidelines and working hours to complete the project under our contract and according to specification. Intermountain Slurry Seal is held to the highest standard and follows all specifications under our contract. It may seem more logical to perform the work at night however the specifications for the project consider noise ordinances in the area and temperatures including overnight lows. Considering the aforementioned, night time work was not allowed per our contract. Although advanced notice was given by the means of electronic messages boards we realize road work can become a nuisance. We apologize for any inconvenience this work may have caused and ask for your patience and cooperation so that we may complete this maintenance safely and as soon as possible. Thank You.

Good Afternoon, The City is Slurry Sealing the road in front of my house... The location is, [redacted] And on the 28th your company obliterated my cement set "in-ground" basketball hoop with their machines... They came by later that day to inform me they would have their boss come back the next day. The next day the same guys returned without a boss and were asking me how I wanted to handle this. I didn't really know what my options were, so I pretty much told them I felt they should replace it at the least. They then tried to convince me into letting them have their "mechanic" come out and put some sleeve on the pole so it would stand up again and make several metal repair (Band-Aid) mends to make it "functional" again. However, in my opinion it would not have been possible because the ratcheting portion was mangled and well, 3 out of 4 major components were damaged... It would have been more work, money and man hours than to just replace it with a new one. I did price them out and average them to be 277 dollars... (before materials to cement it back in) Your companies crew were throwing out statements that it looks like we never use it and if I would even want it replaced. Realistically, I likely would not reinstall it if I have the choice... However, it was a perfectly functional undamaged item that I have cash money invested into that was standing on my property, which they thoroughly damaged. I felt if I replace it or not is irrelevant, but that I should be reimbursed for my loss AT THE LEAST. They threatened that if they have to file a claim there is only a 50/50 chance it would work out on my behalf, and I may not see any assistance or compensation... They then started to throw technicalities at me such as how its cemented roadside and there is supposed to be so much clearance from the road and so fourth... But, they came through 3 months ago with notices on interfering pathway objects and we had to clear several bushes and drooping tree limbs back. There was never any further issues with the clearance of this hoop, which has clearly been standing there cemented in the ground for several years anyhow without complications They then did street sweeping, first layer tar coating, laid the rock second coat or whatever it is... Several different days of various coatings and passes, and never asked me to address this object as being in the way and ALSO navigating right on by this with ease. Now here at the last coat for the road, they run into it simply not paying attention... There are street poles and mail boxes all up the road in the same location or even closer to the road, all of which were not an issue. I'm pretty irritated with the situation, because I feel they are going to petal right out of compensation any way they can. And I don't have any idea who to talk to that is on my side. You probably bill or contract with the city for thousands upon thousands of dollars to coat those roads. And the crew screws up and hits a 275 dollar basketball hoop and start pointing fingers or shouting technicalities so they don't have to pay for it... I feel the on site Forman should have been there throwing cash from their pocket just to make it right for as petty as this is on the greater scale of the road project... I'm simply emailing to try and get an honest and fair compensation for my loss due to damage created by your company. I created what I felt was a fair assessment (below) of which could be negotiable... But should not need to be, If I had to repair this in full, this is what it would cost me out of my pocket... And, The whole inconvenience of the matter compared to if it had never happened... Does your company not have insurances for this kind of thing??? What if it was my car they nailed? I know its a small amount of money, but its just morally correct to make mends of this situation... I see on your website GIANT flashing words on the header... "Accountability"... "Fairness" ... "honesty"... Lets see if we can make this right???I have been getting the run around for two weeks now... I have pictures I cannot attach here, that exemplify Further more, that only a few feet prior to running into my basketball hoop, Your slurry company traveled way too close to the roadside and into my driveway. My roadside property is on a slight curve, so its not difficult for me to understand why someone had difficulty keeping their machine on the road. The over coating on my driveway travels massively at the tail end just before impacting the basketball hoop, and even works its way up the sloped edge of the drive towards the flower bed before correcting it, reflecting it was spray coated, not a downhill slurry slide that pooled up.... Even once corrected back into the road, the second picture (again that I cannot attach, but I could email you) the coating travels clear up the curb face almost right to the top edge traveling from the driveway and over coating all of the way to the basketball hoop which then returns back down to street level after they ran over my basketball hoop. It looks like someone was "drunk coating" ... I walked the street, and there is little to no areas where the coating even meets the curb. Most all of the coating stops proper looking and consistently simply a couple inches from even contacting the curb. Its pretty clear to see that they were all over the place and doing a poor job when they came past my home. I did get a phone call and a "claim" started from [redacted] on the basketball hoop... However that was two weeks ago now, and I also feel from the conversation we had on the phone that she is not going to rule on my behalf... I still don't understand why your company cannot just bite the bullet and right a wrong....??? And simply send me funds to replace this item...??? Regardless of thisOrder_Number: For [redacted]Account_Number: Intermountain SlurryDesired SettlementReplacement funds for the damage inflicted... And repair of the coated slop at the end of my driveway... I have just been getting the run around from intermountain slurry seal for two weeks... This is a 3 to 600 dollar mistake and a reflection of their work. I just want fair compensation and repair work done to my driveway end...Business Response RE: Case Number [redacted]To Whom It May Concern:You are receiving this correspondence in response to the complaint reported to the Revdex.com on August 14, 2015.
