My son is in the Navy, I have written power of attorney to take care of personal business matters on his behalf. He hasn't had access to his phone since the end of June. He just got his access back a few days ago and the "owner" of this company called about a gym membership he had prior to shipping out. My son called and asked if I could take care of it as I had to taken his orders up to the gym when he unexpectedly left earlier than he had thought. I tried to talk to this man in regards to his gym membership. He refused to speak with me to get this taken care of. He just kept saying we should have taken care of this when they gym called 20 times. I kept trying to tell him he didn't have his phone, the Navy had it. I personally took a copy of my son's orders to the gym when my son left earlier then he thought. We were told it was taken care of and due to leaving for the military they would waive the early termination fee. This man I spoke with at Internal Credit Systems Inc wouldn't even let me speak. Stated he didn't care where my son was or what he was doing, he didn't pay his bill. I tried to explain to him that we had taken care of it but he refused to even listen. Stating he would "call JAG" and they would make sure my son paid his bill. It is deplorable. I asked for his superior he said he is the highest person there, at the gym, and at their corporate office that I could speak to get this taken care of. I have now spoken with the specific gym he signed up at and they have apologized profusely and are removing him from collection by tomorrow. (the collector has apparently already left the office) I did mention to the man I spoke with at Internal Credit Systems that I would be posting online how he is treating our service men and he threatened ME with a lawsuit. I am not sure how posting the TRUTH about what happened can constitute a lawsuit. I will say that both the corporate level of anytime fitness as well as our local gym has been great. Errors happen, they fixed it and its totally fine, had this man paused to listen it would have been cleared up in a matter of minutes with no problem. Luckily I understand how collections work and although the gym sent it by mistake they are not in control of his deplorable and disrespectful business practices. A person less versed in collections would be leaving their negative review on the original business pages, in turn damaging their businesses reputation. He has other BBB complaints from clients I would steer clear from him for collections he will give your company a bad name!

I called to pay the bill I owedHe called me stupid constantly and was extremely rudeDemanded yhe money and hung up on meCalled him back then he asked if this time I was going yo pay himI didnt have the whole ammount and asked to make payment plans he said no im broke and an itHe does not work with people and is very condescending

Called ICS to resolve a financial matterTalked to ***, President of this company*** proceeded to put me on hold separate times, the last time for minutesWhen I complained that he put me on hold for so long, he said he was the only person there and all the lines were lit upI then tried to explain to MrPresident my issue and he repeatedly interrupted me, saying that he had done this for years and he knew what he was doingI asked him to please stop interrupting me and he would not, then proceeded to HANG UP on me! This wasn't some part time minimum wage worker who did this, it was the President of this "company" who thinks he walks on water Very unprofessional and very rude

I resolved the billing issue with [redacted] financial the day this guy called me. It was due to a miss understanding due to a move, talked it over with [redacted] and [redacted] and was resolved the same day. This guy however has been harassing and won't even tell me why he is calling. Try asking him his name, he will respond with "Im asking the questions". Tell him your at work and will call him back, he will shout at you and say "If I tell you that your gonna do something your going to do it!" He has also hinted at taking me to court if I wouldn't comply or if I try to hang up. Who dose this guy think he is? I feel like this is a scam. I called [redacted] and they said they have had multiple complaints with this guy. Its also the same guy every-time. Honestly if you are dealing with this rude person I recommend hanging up, Blocking the number, and resolving the debt the professional way. Bottom Line, no one deserves to be disrespected at work, No one deserved to be yelled at or threatened over the phone. This guy is not running a collection company, he is harassing people into giving hime money. I settled my debt with [redacted] for $40. Why would I pay this abusive stranger over $260?

I got a call around 10 AM on a Friday - I answered the phone and a man with southern accent demanded my name. I didn't have a problem with that so I confirmed. Before I even had the chance to ask who I was speaking with he warned me that he is working for an attorney who is trying to take me to court for a debt owed from a gym membership that I stopped paying. He asked if I remembered the gym membership and I replied no. He then stated "well you better get your memory back quick". He stated that if I didn't pay this today than he would see me in court. It ended with him asking me "so are you making a payment?" to which I replied no. He then hung up. This call was completely uncalled for. If he had calmly explained who he was and what he wanted then the situation could be resolved. I called the number back on my lunch break and someone else answered - he was rude too but not as horrible as Southern Accent Man. I was able to talk with the person and ask if they do a payment plan or if this could wait a month. He replied "yeah, just call us back" No threat of legal action. I believe it was a scare tactic to get money. Yes there is money owed but if a lawyer is really going to waste their time with all this it will cost more to take someone who has nothing to court. Someone should tell Southern Accent Man that you get better responses from people when you're nice. And you know, not threating legal action.

A fitness membership I signed a cancellation form on is requesting the full yr dues since the last pmt of $55 was not paid the mth I left for militaryI enlisted in the army in May 2013 and signed a cancellation form with [redacted] gym. They continued to bill my credit card and they said because I didn't pay for a months service after I left that I owe the $263. For the full term of the contract. They continued to charge my bank card which had no funds to cover the monthly fees of $55. Until the bank closed the account. I was in training for 12 weeks and had no phone. I contacted the gym and they turned my account over to collections and said since it was with a this internal collection agency they can't do anything about it. I cancelled my gym account and signed the cancellation agreement, and do not believe these charges are valid. This company will note reduce the amount owed, and the company is a scam. They yell an wiil not work with you like a legitamate business would. I do not feel I should be obligated to pay the full year contact for this fitness memberships since I signed the cancellation form and they knew I enlisted in the military. These fees and charges to complete fitness were billed in error should be waived. Since I was stationed in different locations I was unaware of these charges until I keep getting harassing calls from the [redacted] number advising me this is owed and is not going away. Please advise, thanks[redacted]Desired SettlementContact this internal collection agency and see if they will settle the amount owed. I signed a cancellation and should not be billed for full year when I left in May of that year. Please advise if I this company is legal. I called in several times every month, and on Aug 3 15. They want $263.00 thanks[redacted]Business Response In accordance to the contract he signed, he's required to give a 30 day written notice and pay whatever balance within that 30 day period. If you do not give a notice, your account will continue to draft for 90 days. After that 90 day period, his account will be sent to collections for 3 monthly dues, 3 late fees and 3 service fees. He had ample time to fix any issues before being sent to collections. The balance is due to close out his account. If he can not pay in full, we can work out a payment plan until the balance is paid.

The company representative [redacted] was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. After being ill [redacted] several months, on 12/8/2014 I was finally able to reconcile my bank accounts and noticed that the gym membership had not drafted my account [redacted] several months so I called the gym directly and they in[redacted]med me that my debit card had expired and there[redacted] they had not drafted the monthly fee [redacted] four months. They told me they tried to call the number on file but they were unable to reach me as the number had been changed. They said that un[redacted]tunately the account had been sent to collections on 12/3/2014, and I would have to contact the collection company. on 12/9/2014 I called the 800 number the gym gave me and was greeted by [redacted] who immediately made fun of my name as I was spelling it out to him, he had me on speaker phone the whole time so I know there are several witnesses to our un[redacted]tunate phone conversation. I was trying to explain the situation as best I could after being completely taken back by his poor people skills to say the least. After practically screaming at me he said I had no sense and that I didn't know anything, that I was stupid and that I talk to much. He wanted to know if anyone had ever told me "I talked to much". He continued to talk down to me [redacted] several minutes telling me I was wasting his time and he didn't have time to hear what I had to say. I can not imagine that he would not take 2 minutes to hear me out. I was not asking him to waive the fee, I was not telling him the debt was not valid. All I was trying to do was explain my situation and pleading with him not to treat me like I was ignorant and stupid. I contacted the company, they didn't call me or chase me, I willingly paid the balance because I wanted to pay it. My intention was never to ignore the debit. I always pay my bills I have never been in collections so I don't know if this is how all collection companies are but it just dose not seem human to treat people like he treated me. I understand its a difficult business trying to collect money from people but not all people are the same, there is a story behind each person and sometimes it's not your usual low life sm. [redacted], [redacted]. Desired SettlementAll I want is an apology letter from the company representative and from [redacted]. I don't want a refund. I pay my bills, I don't want a free ride from anyone. Had I not gotten sick and realized by card had expired sooner I would have paid the amount right away. I accept that I am at fault because I didn't give the gym my new phone number when I changed it but I never imagined I would need them to call me. I also never imagined I would get sick and be in bed for several months. Business Response Unfortunately, she called here with a bad attitude and wanted to blame everybody but herself for her payment not working. I did not want to listen to a long dramatic story that had nothing to do with me. The billing company tried for 90 days to fix her problem with her account. She failed to respond during that 90 day prior. She's paid in full now and this case is closed. Consumer Response I did not have a bad attitude, he is a liar if you research this company anyone can see that it is the same story over and over. This company is unprofessional and should not be in business. I never blamed anyone over anything, if he had half of a brain he would have read that in my compliant. He is just an un happy person that he feels he has to treat everyone like he is better and above them. I have already filed a complaint with the [redacted] and have also proceeded to obtain an attorney. Someone has to be held accountable for this companies lack of professionalism and lack of respect for others. Of course my account is closed I pay my bills and have never had a problem paying them. Unless I receive an official apology from the company I will proceed with legal proceedings against the company. I don't have a problem spending thousands in attorney fees as long as this company is held responsible not only for how they treated me but several other people. Lord bless him and help him as he will need it. Final Business Response She is the liar, if she would have handled her business to start with, she wouldn't have been in this situation. We deal with 5 to 6000 members a month and you always have one or two that like to make up stuff. She is done with us.

RudeOn March 31 at 7:54 am PST, I received a telephone call from a 919-[redacted]. Now that is way before 8am. And that # comes back to Internal Credit Systems (ICS), After I said "hello" some unknown man who did not tell me his name asked for [redacted]. He sounded like he was like a homeboy not an Attorney...After I told him this was [redacted] he stated that he was an Attorney and claimed that I was going to be taken to court and sued for a debt that I owed. I asked him what debt. He said "[redacted]". I said "how much do I owe". He went on to say I owed $480. I said "No I don't" he goes well that how much was left on your contract" I went on to tell him I do not owe that much. He then got VERY LOUD and said " LOOK HERE DON'T PLAY DUMB WITH ME YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF THIS DEBT TODAY. I got LOUD back too and said first of all he does not need to talk to me this way and I hung the[redacted] up. What kind of a so called Attorney talk to anyone that way. And why is he calling me tell me he is an attorney when he only a [redacted] collection rep. He is lying to customer and very unprofessional. I do not believe I owe that much when my contract only had a couple of months on there. Desired SettlementI will pay what I owe on the remaining contractBusiness Response I tried to explain to her that she had a two year contract. She kept saying she didn't. I have a copy of the contract that clearly states that she signed on 10/08/2013 and set to expire 10/8/15. She only made 12 payments out of the 24. She defaulted on her contract in December 2014. The drafting company tried to fix her issue for 90 days. After 90 days she will be sent to collections for the remaining balance of the contract. If she does pay in full, she will get the remaining time left to her contract to go back and use the membership. Consumer Response Ok, first off the conversation never got that far for him to explain any of that. So this company needs to stop lying. Their business practice is just uncalled for and unprofessional in any manner. After this man called me BEFORE 8 am PST (I think the law is they can't call before 8 am and after 9 am), lied about who he was ( Not an Attorney) and told me to stop playing dumb and pay my debt. That is the main reason I disconnected from this call. I was not about to have nobody talk to me like I was dumb. I saw other people complaints about this company and I am not sure why this unknown man still as a job. Final Business Response As we stated in the previous response regarding her debt, she signed a 2 year contract and defaulted on her contract. She had 90 days to fix any issue before being sent to collections.

Called ICS to resolve a financial matter. Talked to [redacted], President of this company. [redacted] proceeded to put me on hold 4 separate times, the last time for 15 minutes. When I complained that he put me on hold for so long, he said he was the only person there and all the lines were lit up. I then tried to explain to Mr. President my issue and he repeatedly interrupted me, saying that he had done this for 17 years and he knew what he was doing. I asked him to please stop interrupting me and he would not, then proceeded to HANG UP on me! This wasn't some part time minimum wage worker who did this, it was the President of this "company" who thinks he walks on water. Very unprofessional and very rude.","neg-4

Debt Collection MisrepresentationOn February 20, 2015 10:25 am CST, I received a telephone call from [redacted], which comes back to Internal Credit Systems (ICS), [redacted]. Upon picking up the phone, an Unknown Male (UM), who did not identify himself or where he was calling from, asked for "[redacted]." After confirming my identity, the UM stated that he was an Attorney and claimed that I was going to be taken to court and sued for a debt that I owed.I (tried) to explain to him that the debt which was referred to his company was referred in error (due to the[redacted] credit card breach) and that the outstanding balance had been taken care of through the company ([redacted]) who referred the past due account to ICS.The UM became belligerent and again stated that "I had better take care of this debt or we're going to take you to court." I told him to get his fact straight and that the debt was no longer outstanding. As the UM attempted to threaten and intimidate me further, I cautioned him that what he was doing was against the law and identified myself as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer. The UM ended the telephone call by hanging up abruptly.Curious to see if he was truly an Attorney, I redialed the number that I had received the telephone call from. Upon connection, an ICS representative answered the phone. I gave him my name and asked to speak to the person that was handing my account, as we had just been disconnected. After waiting for a minute or so, I was connected with the original UM ICS representative. Immediately, I asked him if he was an Attorney as he previously claimed. He stated "I am representing an Attorney." I told him it was against the law in the Debt Collection business to misrepresent yourself and call and attempt to intimidate a person in an attempt to collect a debt. After a few minutes of back and forth with the UM attempting to justify his position, the UM again ended the call abruptly. As stated before, I am unaware of the UM's identity, but called ICS a few hours later in an attempt to speak with the owner of the company and the same UM picked up the phone. His voice is easily identifiable.Information found on the internet re: ICS is as follows:INTERNAL CREDIT SYSTEMS INC.[redacted]NC Department of Insurance Permit # [redacted]Registered Agent / President: [redacted]This information is also being reported to the[redacted] This activity of intimidation and misrepresentation needs to stop and I wouldn't be surprised if, with a little research into ICS, a pattern of similar activity was uncovered. Please contact me with any questions.Thank you for your assistance in this matter.Sincerely,[redacted]Desired SettlementAcknowledgement of fraudulent business practices by ICS ownership and a plan to correct it.Business Response This member had 90 days before being sent to collections to fix his problem. He failed to do that. Everything is 100% not correct. He spoke to a representative and the first thing he stated was that he was an FBI agent and he would have my [redacted]. He tried to intimidate us by making that statement. We tried to speak to him about the matter and he became out rite. I thought that was unprofessional and I asked for his supervisor and he did not give that information. We got information from the gym that he went inside the club to pay his debt and the situation has been resolved. Consumer Response My original post was completely factual. The ICS representative was made aware that he was speaking to a law enforcement agent only AFTER it became clear that the techniques he was using (such as claiming to be an attorney when he was not) were in gross violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. (See link below) The matter has been referred to the appropriate law enforcement agencies. Thank you. http://www.[redacted]Final Business Response We've contacted the FBI in Washington DC to notify them that if he really is an FBI agent that he is abusing his power to bully us. First thing out of his mouth was that he was an FBI agent which I got out of the conversation that he should have never said that. After speaking to an agent from Washington DC office he should have never disclosed that he was ever an FBI agent. You can see in his email that he wants you to know he's an FBI agent. This will be forward to the investigator investing this matter. Once again everything he said is 100% incorrect.

Very rude debt collector in violation of FTC debt collection.I received a call at 10:32 AM while I was at work on 5/12/2016. I was immediately met by a very angry sounding southern man that demanded to confirm my identity. I confirmed who I was, and was abruptly warned that he was an attourney, and asked if I could pay roughly $300 dollars today or they were going to take me court over the amount due. I wasn't even really able to speak to the man and figure out what exactly was happening, after I told him I couldn't afford to make a payment of that size at this time, he promptly hung up on me.After calling back I demanded to speak to whomever called me, and we entered a bit of a yelling match. He stated this time that he is a "REPRESENTATIVE" to an attorney and that I'm dumb and didn't listen to what he said. After reviewing several Revdex.com complaints on this company as well as a multitude of google reviews - I am not the first and certainly not the last it seems to be told that they're an attorney. This is a direct violation of the FTC collections act. They are also trying to collect an amount that's nearly if not more than $100 of the initial amount that I supposedly owe a gym.I signed up for a Gym membership but was not told that I'm a "special contract" because I signed up during a promotional event. The gym would not allow me to cancel nor would anyone else take ownership of the account - so I was forced to deal with $100 or more being over drafted to my account. I had arrangements to pay the owner of the gym $75 to settle on the supposed debt (even though I have not used their facility for more than 2 months out of the 12 month contract). But instead it goes to this very unprofessional "Business". They seem to think that they can threaten and harass their way into your wallet by violating whatever rules they please. I'd hate to have to go into a lawsuit with these people because of their unorthodox ways of business. You can't violate the FTC and pose as an attorney.Desired SettlementI want them to immediately cease contact with me. They're calling me at work in a very threatening manner and impersonating attorneys. I'm not the first to experience this. Look them up on google, or even read other reviews and you'll read the same things.Business Response The number on his contract list his phone number as his cell phone. His contract does not even have a work number on there. The allegations [redacted] is claiming are false. [redacted] had 90 days to fix his issue with the club before being sent to collections. I had a conversation with him for over 20 minutes and went over everything with him. I never claimed I was an Attorney. This is way of trying to get out of a debt. Consumer Response Really? A way to get out of debt. One you wouldn't provide any documentation of what was supposedly owed, you DID claim you were an attorney. You're not a representative to an attorney either. You're a debt collector, and a rather scummy one at that. I have sent the recording of the calls to the attorney general. You clearly state after yelling at me on the phone that you are an attorney and if I don't give you $280ish dollars you'll send me to court. You promptly hung up on me when I told you I'm not paying you anything until I have documentation with a clear breakdown of all the charges. You will continue to not see a dime from me otherwise. You try to intimidate everyone. Your reviews are so blatantly terrible that it's a wonder that you're still in business. This response is what you give everyone. The generic 90 day [redacted] is on every single response you give. You are in direct violation to multiple FTC acts. You should know this as a "representative to an attorney".Consider this your verbal warning. Do not contact me by phone. Ever. If you fail to honor this, I will sue you in the court of law not for the debt I'm being accused of owing, but for your misconduct regarding the FTC.Read up on the policies. Intimidating people for supposed debt will get you no where. Especially with me.If you contact me again in a threatening rude tone - you will continue to get nowhere with me or anyone you speak to.Consider this again, your warning.Thank you.Final Business Response First of all, you never asked for documentation. If you would like documentation on your debt, you would have to send a written request stating you would like a copy of your contract. If you would have originally taken care of this issue with the owner then he would have never sent you to collection. Also, I never stated I was an attorney and we don't take people to court. You're just making up a bunch of non-sense. Just pay what you said you were going to and you'll be done with it. You're the one who is bullying us. You're a the point where you're committing slander.
