Review: I was contacted by this company, calling themselves the International Nurses Association. I was told I was nominated for being a top leader in Nursing. When I asked how that happened, they told me someone elected me and that is the only way to be contacted by the INA for "this prestigious award." They went on to say that I would be receiving a certificate acknowledging this via the mail. The lady went into a sales pitch asking for anywhere from $400-$800 for various stages in their book that was to be published, ie" diamond, platinum", etc. The higher the level the more coverage a person receives. I said that I did not want to spend that much money just to be published in a book and felt it would not truly benefit me. The lady offered it for free, that she would "sponsor" me, and I only needed to pay $34 a month or so for the membership. I agreed, but then researched the company online and they are not in good standing with the Revdex.com and have [redacted] reports and other scam warnings online as well. I want a refund and when I requested cancellation of my "membership" and full refund, the lady said that I would not be receiving one but she would cancel my membership.

I am concerned this company has no ground to stand on to say who is good or not good in the medical field and are nothing more than a marketing scam that will mislead the uneducated patient who is searching for a top surgeon who may be a complete it with shaky hands!Desired Settlement: I want a refund of my initial fee of $34 or how much it was. I also would like charges pressed on this company for contacting doctors saying they are top nurse of the year, for misleading the public by representing a false truth to them. This company cannot possibly be telling the truth...to anyone. While I am a great nurse, I am sure no one called them and selected me as a top leader in the meidcal field...if so...then why would they refuse to tell me who it was! Absolutely preposterous! As if people didn't have a hard enough time finding a doctor who was willing to go the extra mile, the smart doc who also has more than an inch of social skills...but now people have to weed through books and magazines of [redacted] saying "here are the leaders....blablabla" when it's not true! Wow! Stooped to whole new level.

Dear [redacted],

In an effort to resolve this complaint expeditiously we have credited the complainant, [redacted], in the amount of $44.90 (see receipt for proof of credit).

We have also cancelled her membership.

Sincerely yours,

Review: This company duped me into paying for a membership and "personalized" publication that I did not want using flattery and deception. I received surgery recently and am currently taking prescribed pain medication. They told me that there would be a low monthly charge but instead I was charged over $800 at once. When trying to call back to dispute the charge (the same day and the day following) they told me it was too late and they could only refund part of the amount. This is not acceptable business practice.Desired Settlement: A Full Refund of $818.95, removal from the IAHCP database and no further charges on my credit card.

Review: This company sent me a letter saying I was chosen to be represented on their website as being the medical professional of the year. When I researched this online it appeared to be a scam or marketing type scam. They did then attempt to try and reach me several times at my work place. I told them I was not interested. The calls continued and still are happening. They are insistent that I filled out an application to be published, but I did not.Desired Settlement: To not be contacted at work or home by this agency.

Sincerely,

Review: In December of 2014 a company representative called me and recorded the conversation without my knowledge or awareness.

Then they asked if I was aware of a debit for a purchased item.

I thought that they were referencing a previously purchased membership service however this does not appear to be the case.

I saw a large debit from my account later that month and when I called them to clarify, I was told that I had agreed to purchase an expensive video tape advertisement dvd service. Once I was able to finally reach a membership services person I was told that I had been recorded giving my permission for this expensive and undesired service.

I was then asked repeatedly if I would like to hear the call played back for me and when I stated no I simply wanted to decline the service and have a refund I was told that they were attempting to resolve the matter. Finally I did say "yes" that I was willing to hear the message at which point I was placed on a very long hold and then the message was played for me. Although it is my voice and I do recall having a portion of that call I definitely do think that at best there is a miscommunication and at worse a misrepresentation.

I have attempted to clarify that I do not wish to receive ongoing services from this company. I continue to receive calls.

I am concerned they will make further withdrawals from my account and am headed to speak with my bank about this matter.Desired Settlement: that they stop contacting me

refund my money

Review: This business is a total scam. I am a nurse and was simply looking for membership for career opportunities. I was told nothing but lies. I was told I was nominated for an award and that a biography of myself/skills would be produced in an upcoming book. I gave personal information after going online and reviewing what I thought was a credible site/program. They have since then been taking money out of my account which I will now be closing after having no back up from [redacted]'s claim assistance. Because this stupid company offered me a so called airplane voucher, which I never wanted nor recieved in regards to the amount of $189.00 from my account.Desired Settlement: I would like my initial refund of $189.00 back and as well as an additional $100.00 for my time and other membership fees included in this membership. They truly did not complete their part in making this an online place with benefits for nurses.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. Also according to [redacted] from this association, he is demanding that I delete this message in order to receieve a refund of $189.00. So if you are able to delete my message for me that would be great, thanks.

Sincerely,

Review: Dear Sir/Madam,

From my observations and research so far, it seems to me that the [redacted] business, along with the affiliated International Association of Health Care Professionals, are a scam. I am a physician and was simply looking for ways to promote my clinical and research services. I initially clicked on an ad on the [redacted] website for a seemingly unrelated company purporting to offer professional networking opportunities ([redacted]) and filled out a brief form for that organization. A short time later, I received a telephone call from the [redacted], who I assume acquired my contact information from the other organization ([redacted]).

I was contacted by the [redacted], saying I was chosen to receive an honor, was nominated for being a top leader in Medicine/Neuropsychiatry, etc. I was told I was nominated for an award and that a biography of myself/skills would be produced in an upcoming book. They offered to spotlight my professional career among the worldwide leaders in healthcare as providers of excellence. They went on to say that I would be receiving a certificate acknowledging this via the mail, which I later received, complete with spelling errors! I was told that I would have to pay additional monies to receive a plaque and to be entered into their profile book. I gave personal information after going online and reviewing what I thought was a credible site/program. The salesperson then told me that being a part of this association, I would have access to communication with other healthcare professionals. The salesperson went into a sales pitch asking for anywhere from $400-$1000 for various stages in their book that was to be published, i.e. "diamond”, “platinum", etc. The higher the level the more coverage a person receives. Each type would receive different perks and had a different initiation fee. Then a couple of days later I received a phone call at work from one of the service representatives asking me to do a 15 minute interview because I was going to be published in a national magazine with a complete biography of myself.

They have since been taking money out of my credit card account which I have now closed. I feel this entire package is not worth the price I paid which was US$1824.75. I should not be charged as I obtained nothing from them, other than a useless plaque and certificate which means little to nothing from a company with such a questionable reputation. I feel like this whole organization is a scam to obtain money out of unsuspecting good citizens/professionals that want to be involved in professional organizations. As a member of other professional organizations, I think they need to be clear, considerate and transparent with potential members regarding costs and expectations of payments. I felt pressured to make payments right away over the phone with no option of a refund. I didn't really even know what these "dues" were going towards. I have been called randomly and expected to pay large sums of money for things that I didn't request or need.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of US$1824.75 and as well as an additional US$500.00 as just a small compensation for my wasted time. They truly did not complete their part in making this an online forum with professional benefits for physicians.
