I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed In regards to the response again they refuse to take ownership of what happened Documents only shows that they indeed connected to the system while the car was running causing this issue At the end of the day my car had no issues before trusting it in their care As for my complaint of lack of respect for the military I served honorably as an active duty Marine where integrity is a must To hear someone say a lot of vets are taking advantage of the government is not something that will ever set well with me I am a civilian Marine working for the Marines and I have loss friends in combat over my time served The nature of my complaint has to deal with integrity and loyalty which seems to be missing on International Auto behalf I have spoken to my attorney and filed a complaint with the Attorney General This whole experience has totally upset me. Along with the original response IAS would like to provide the mentioned documents to support response.

First, we have never represented that we are an authorized [redacted] Service Center.  We are an independent [redacted] service center that has the same diagnostic equipment and tools as the [redacted] dealer.  Our website provides the same information.  (We have attached pictures, taken today, that show...

the front of our building.)   When [redacted] came to our shop on [redacted], he requested that we check his vehicle to determine if it has been overheating.  After performing multiple diagnostic tests, the technician was unable to find any problems with the cooling system.  (Attachment 1, Technicians Notes.)   The technician did notice that the low oil icon was illuminating intermittently.  At that time, [redacted] requested that an oil service be performed ([redacted]) to correct the problem.  (Attachment 2, Invoice.)   As the customer was walking to his car to leave, he mentioned that the comfort feature that makes the windows drop before opening the door, was not functioning.  The service advisor suggested that he make an appointment and return another day to determine the cause.   [redacted], [redacted] brought his vehicle in to have the problem with the comfort feature diagnosed.  The diagnostic test revealed that there was no communication with the FRM module.  He was told that the functions of this module do not affect the drivability of the vehicle.   The foundation of our business is based upon on honesty and integrity.  We respect all of our customers, especially those that serve in the military and law enforcement fields.    Our diagnostic system documents the mileage at the time a fault occurs.  When the vehicle arrived at our business on [redacted], the odometer reading was [redacted] miles.  The communication faults began at [redacted] miles (Attachment 3).  The faults for the module were present at the time of the first visit, but not noted as a customer concern (Attachment 4).   When [redacted] returned on [redacted], he was presented an updated diagnostic report (Attachment 5) that showed that the there was no communication with the module and it was recommended that the module be replaced.  He did not appear to be interested in replacing the module and was not given a written estimate.   We regret any misunderstanding or miscommunication that may have occurred.  We value all of our customers.  It is our goal to insure that each customer is satisfied with the service they receive.
