International Auto Tint & Accessories Reviews (1)

Review: On Saturday, July 18th I took my car to Sac International Window Tinting at [redacted], so they could install my CD player. Their business card says " stereos, alarms, and window tinting. The installer installed my CD player. I saw my antenna go up then I heard the faint sound of my radio. He played a CD so I thought the job was complete. I paid them the $40.00 that I was charged and drove away. I wanted to set my radio stations so I tried to play my radio. It wouldn't play. So I took it to a different installer. They said maybe the antenna came lose. I went back to the 1st installer so he could check the antenna and it was fine. The installer who installed my CD, said my radio was faulty. I took my CD player back to Best Buy, where I bought it, where they ran 2 tests to check the radio. It was fine. So I took it back to the original installer. The manager offered my $40.00 back but didn't give it to me. At that point he began a lengthy explanation of why he felt it wasn't his installer's fault. I told him the installation isn't complete until the radio AND the CD was working. I saw it was useless to to reason with him so I left. All I want is my money back for an incomplete installation and leaving bare wires uncapped or not taped in my dashboard.

Thank you in advance,

Response:

On the above date, Mr. [redacted] came to my place of business and was inquiring about a stereo installation . I asked Mr.[redacted] if he had all the essential parts required for the installation (wire harness, antenna adapt, etc). Mr. [redacted] stated he had everything because there was a radio there before and his car was broken into and someone had stolen his stereo. Mr. [redacted] and I went to his his vehicle and I noticed wires fully exposed hanging from the dash. It also appeared, someone attempted to install the new stereo Mr. [redacted] had ,but was unsuccessful. There were wires damaged from the theft and wires cut from whomever, attempted to installed the new stereo. After the installation, the CD and function of the radio was working fine. However, the radio was not receiving adequate AM/FM signal making the AM/FM local stations unable to listen. I conducted another inspection of the installation and discovered the antenna wire had been damaged from the theft. I advised Mr. [redacted] of the situation but he didnt comprehend and was adamant that the antenna was working before. After several of attempt to explain to Mr. [redacted] that I do not repair antenna, I decided to offered Mr. [redacted] a refund of half of the $40 I charged him. Mr.[redacted] demanded all his money and demanded that I fix the wires that were damaged. I will be gladly to give Mr. [redacted] half of his money but will not repair any exposed wire as the damaged was not cause by my installation but from the theft of his previous stereo.
