Review: On Saturday morning 4/25/15, I brought my car in since the check engine light was on and the car was running "rough" and idling very high when I stop. The service agent advised that I needed a tune up. The estimate was $1269.90. However they did not have a PVC tube in stock which on the estimate was $42.36 plus $31.50 for labor or $73.86 combined. He said that changing the spark plugs and coils would rectify the matter. My husband spoke to the agent on the telephone so he could get an understanding of why a tune up was so high. He was told that this engine is special and the coils are very expensive. My husband also asked them to change the oil. I consented to tune up. I picked the car up some hours later and he said they managed to clean up the existing tube and it appeared to be in good order. Within 10 minutes of me leaving the shop I stopped and noticed that the car was still idling high and the check engine light came back on. It was too late to go back to the shop, so I returned the next morning (Sunday) on April 26, 2015 and told the same service agent about the problem. He said it was the tubing and he would order it and have it during the week. He did not look at the car since he was certain it was the tube. I told him I would return the following Saturday May 2, 2015, at which time he promised to get me in and out very shortly. I came in on May 2, 2015 and he said the part never came in, but he would have it during the week. During the week, my husband called several times only to be told that the part never came in. At this point, I want my money back. I paid $1226.17 and my car is still idling very high and the check engine light is still on. If they were unable to complete the job, then they should not have attempted it. If they were unable to get all of the required parts then they should not have attempted to fix it. In addition, after promising me to have the part in, I was never notified that it was not in stock or unavailable. All we were told is it has not come in yet.Desired Settlement: I would like them to complete the repair job so that the check engine light does not come back on and the car no longer idles high when it is stopped. Absent that, I would like a refund so I can go to another shop who can complete the repairs.
