International Language Academy of Washington D.C. Reviews (2)

Thank you for contacting the International Language Academy of Washington D.C"ILA" to verify the former student's claims. The student stated in your letter had submitted her application, student agreement form, and statement of financial support form, which have in details all the rules and
regulations associated with registering at the academyThe student had indicated on her application that she plans to study with ILA for months, and based on the information she provided us, we processed her change of status request with the USCIS from a visitor on a B1/Bvisa, to a student on an Fvisa. The student requested to transfer out of the school only one session after her enrollment, contrary to our school's policy, while students are required to study for at least three sessions - unless they indicate that they are enrolling for short term only on their application, which she didn't.Usually, such a transfer is associated with a fee according to our school policy, which she was fully informed of, by the school registrar when she filled her application with her own handwritingDespite the fact that she had violated our school's policy, we transferred her records to the new school without collecting the feeWe transferred her record on the last day of our session (April 29th 2016).Whether you have any additional questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us directly.Sincerely yours,Dana S*Executive DirectorInternational Language Academy of Washington D.C

I am rejecting this response because:
The forms that I had submitted are my personal information and my Sponsor's. I was NOT informed about the $1000 to transfer to another school at any time, once transferring is NOT a violation. I have the right to choose the best choice for my Academic career, and ILA doesn't meet my expectations. The form asks how long do I PLAN on staying at ILA, and I had plan on staying for around 6 months. It doesn't mention that I HAVE TO STAY FOR AT LEAST 3 SESSIONS. The page that says that it's not even filled up by me. If it was, I'd be more than glad to see it. I've talked to The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System ([redacted]) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and I was informed that the school can't refuse to transfer me for that reason. Also, the Student Agreement Form that says that I need to pay $1000 fee if I transfer to another school if I don't study there for at least 3 sessions was not signed by me at any time, I have pictures that show that.  I asked the Director Dana S[redacted] to show me the contract, and when she saw that it wasn't signed, she said that I was gonna have to pay the fee anyways, cause it's the school's policy.
Regards,
