I had purchased this specialty vehicle in question almost years agoIt was driven and insured by my wife until she had a neck injury that prompted her to want to sell the carI had absolutely no knowledge of the Carfax issue as it was a clean title car, which I have
copies in my file to proveThe *** was part of an insurance claim some years ago, although it had no damage and thus a clean title was issuedThe top is an original year old convertible top with wear and tearThere was one spot on the top that was getting worn from top being left down that was pictured and disclosed when advertisedI specifically asked *** prior to his seeing the vehicle if he wanted to leave the hard top off to inspect and he did not respondI installed the hard top that came on the car originally and *** loved the car upon seeing itI never repaired the body of the car as it was a great example with only minor flaws only the left fender looked to have been blended prior to my purchaseI do not see or know of any mileage discrepancyI did not promise another key, I told him I would look for it and would send it if foundWe sold a *** *** convertible with low miles, and thousands of dollars of mechanical work, including a 60,mile service, new tires, new brakes, new rotors, and new calipers for $17,200.00- that is an incredible price for this carThe service work was performed at a reputable, high end service shop that specializes in exotic/luxury automobilesThere are going to be some inherent flaws to a vehicle that is years old, this is not a new car*** was given more than ample time and opportunity to inspect the integrity of the vehicle upon receiptHe could have cancelled the deal after it was paid for but he didn't and in fact was quite happy with the purchaseA bad Carfax does not give the buyer the right to a new carIf *** wanted a flawless vehicle, with no wear and tear he could have easily purchased a brand new one for an extra $80,or so- he did not, he bought this year old version for $17,I would be happy to split (50%) the cost of the top only to give him the benefit of the doubt because he did not inspect it prior to purchase, and because the hard top was onThe vehicle was sold as is, and I will reiterate that the top flaw was disclosed in the descriptionIt is unacceptable to me that I am being called a liar and *** is denying my wife's ownershipShe drove and loved this car, and it is insulting for *** to pretend to know this is untrueThe facts of the matter are that this car has a clean title, it is years old, the top flaw was disclosed and this is a clear example of buyer's remorseWhile it is unfortunate that *** feels this way, it is not my or my dealership's fault he feels this way, and I will not allow our reputation to be tarnished by someone who obviously does not have the facts on his sideAgain I am happy to pay for 1/of a new top, which I feel is more than fair and generous for a year old car that was sold "AS IS", and that is all that I am willing to do given the nature of this complaintThank you and if you have further questions please let me know, I am happy to cooperate

Hi, we sold a vehicle on [redacted] that was totally as is that passed safety inspection and ct. state emissions. The price was 2500.00 and had over 200,000 miles on it. We did not here from the customer for over a month and then received a call from them stating the check engine light went on and they...

demanded we repair it at no charge. I explained that the car was as is but we could help her with the problem by giving her our wholesale cost for repairs that would save her over half the average cost. They declined my offer and said they will sue my business.
