International Quests Escape Games

We found this escape room online and booked a 4:15 time on Dec. 26th 2019 for 6 people. We paid $30 per person with our credit card ($180) for the abandoned circus room. We got a receipt in an email. The website asked us to arrive 30 minutes early. We drove 30 minutes to the address and arrived at the building and found the room in the building with a sign for international escape rooms, but it was locked, there was no one from the company there. We called the number and heard a phone ring inside the office. No one answered and there was no way to leave a message. We wandered around the building and saw the different escape room doors, they were all locked. There was also a waiting room with no one in it. We called over and over again, no answer. There was a woman from another business in the building who said that the people from the escape room are never there and she often sees customers who paid online for the escape room show up and become angry when no one is at the building. She said she thought it was a scam and we should tell the building landlord on the second floor, we couldn't find the landlord. This was a terrible experience, our credit card was charged and we are currently disputing the charge. The email from the website bounces back and no one ever answers the phone. Our family doesn't get together that often and our whole afternoon event was wasted. I should have checked the online reviews, many people reported similar experiences and rated the business poorly.
