This vehicle was towed into out facility in non running condition upon the initial check over of the vehicle we found that there were various major parts missing that the vehicle needed to attempt to make it runThe customer knew nothing of the condition of the vehicle as he had bought it from
someone thinking that the car needed very little to get it mobile againThis vehicle is a rare *** that there are very few like it to obtain parts for so this was our first hurdle with this carWe aquired the initial computers and electrical items that were needed to hopefully get this vehicle running, again in situations like this you have to go with the obvious problems at hand and see what comes upThe customer was aware that we needed to do obtain and install these items first then go from thereWe reached out to the internet to find good used parts to keep cost down due to the fact if you buy these parts new that price is a lot moreAfter we received the computers and modules we needed and installed them we were able to further check the vehicle and see what was going on because it still would not crank up and run, but now we were able to communicate with the vehicle using our computers to help us diagnose further issuesThis car had been in a very bad wreck and had been crushed in several very important areas where the vehicles wiring harness was locatedWe were not informed of this by the customer,we had to discover this on our ownBeing that the vehicle had been wrecked in these areas the car was experiencing numerous electrical issue which were not allowing to drive down the roadThe customer had an initial estimate from the start and we agreed on the price because we knew for fact the car definitley needed the items that had been replaced that totaled up the dollars, I even allowed them to make installments on the invoiceWe tried our very best with this vehicle and know that we could have fixed it but the time needed to go through every electrical componet and wiring harness on this vehicle would have been extensive and costlyWe encouraged the customer to stop several times and try and sell the vehicle as is being that it would start up and run just would not accelerate down the road because we just didn't feel right to continue charging for all of the time we were having to put into this vehicle to diagnose more and more issueI'm not to prideful to encourage someone to get a second opinion on issues like this because of how in depth of a project it had becomeThe whole time the vehicle was here we were in constant contact with the male owner of the vehicle, not until the last couple weeks it was here the female owner started coming by and had no clue of what was going on with the car and didn't understand of why the pricing was the way it was and why it was so much because of lack of communication on there behalf, I never had any contact info for her to discuss any problems or pricing on this vehicle only her husbandThere were numerous hours of diagnostics put into this car that were never charged to the customer because we wanted to help as mush as we canI've been in this industry a long time and I know that there probably isn't anyone else that would take on this project and not charge a whole lot more because of the complex nature of this vehicleI never forced them to pay an additional dollars, that is what was left of there original invoice that they were making payments onWe always try to be helpful and as fare as possible with all of our customers and if there's any issues that arise we try to handle them in a professional manorThis was just a very unique situation and the customer was unaware of how bad there car was from the start of when he purchased itThis is why we always encourage our customers to get a pre purchase inspection on any vehicle before they buy it to prevent things like this from happeningThank You
