Hi,
I purchased internet with this company called internet for less. It was for my mother's house. I realized that the service was as terrible. She would tell me that it was not working properly. But because of work I really did not have the time to cut services. I work consistently, so I did go back and forth with the company. To try and fix the problem because. I was 30pbs and 5 mbps for uploads. And I know that it may not always be those exact numbers. But when I check the speed it was around:
1. 8-10bps and 1mbps.
2. It would not with her laptop and tablet connected at the same time
So I decided to transfer that account to another company.
But the internet for less took the payment for May 2020.
And they CUT off my mother's internet services without contacting to let me know they officially disconnected the internet. So I transferred to anyone better priced company.
My problem is they will NOT give back my payment for the May Bill. And give a reasonable solution to picking up their equipment. Since we are all to STAY HOME.
They use some excuse about returning the equipment. But because of the Covid-19. I'm staying home so I told them to come by my mother's house and they will hand it over to them. I told my younger sister to have it ready and meet him since I'm at my house and can not leave.
I also gave them the option of mailing a label and envelop to my mother's house and I will have my sister do it. They shipped it to me in the first place so it shouldn't be an issue.
I have sent several emails with no response. Trying to work this out with them. I have left voicemails, I have texted telling them that I did not want to file a complaint. *** I still got ZERO response for positive resolution.
So I would like to file a formal complaint

Good Morning

*** is partnered with Internet for Less to do the billing, technical support and collections for their Internet clients.

*** (***) *** was representing her mom who had internet service with us since 2019. Her mother started with a 5 megabit per second (mbps) package. Giving the amount of people staying home internet service has absolutely been affected. With such a low bandwidth package, ***'s mother was experiences buffering and lags. We upgraded her service to 30mbps (did not charge) in an attempt to rectify the situation and then to 75mbps. Additionally, *** attempts were made to trouble shoot the issue remotely. There was no assistance from ***.

Internet for Less' Terms and Conditions are very clear that the customer is responsible for the equipment and payment of services and that speeds are not guaranteed. We have done everything we can in regards to customer service and could not satisfy the client.

We asked for our equipment back and asked twice about *** printing a label so that we could arrange for a pickup. This offer was never accepted or acknowledged.

I am rejecting this response because: FALSE CLAIMS

*** This Is An Incorrect Statement, As I Was Paying For A 30Mbps Service Initially ***

*** They DID NOT Attempt Any Civility At All & I Have The CORRECT Emails With The CORRECT Thread Of Conversation.

*** As For The Label I Have NOT Denied That & Would Love To Return This Through The Mail. But Do They Know What Is Happening NOW In The World. Since Then There Is An OUTBREAK At The ***

These Are All Excuses By Internet/Energy For Less, To Explain *** Withdrawal Of Unauthorized Funds.

I Already Transferred The Account AFTER NUMEROUS Voicemails( Hopefully They Will Produce) - Texts - Emails And On Multiple Occasions In Late April Until The Account Transfer To The NEW Internet Company.

*** If This Is What They Are Suggesting Happened I Can Prove Otherwise. I Will NOT Be Falsely Accused When I Have Been Very Patient With Them. That's So Unbecoming Of Good Character By Your Part Internet For Less. I DECLINE This Laughable Response From You. And I Expect Better Then That. PERIOD. We Can Trace Everything Nowadays So People Are NOT Taken Advantage Of. Ridiculous Really

is asking for 2 things with her “settlement”
request. One is for a refund for unused
service. Two is for US to come and get our
equipment. We have always maintained
that we will send her refund back. However, that will be sent back AFTER she sends our equipment back. We can wait until she is safely able to do
that. Alternately, we can send (and
previously offered to send) a shipping label to her and have it shipped back to
us. This is according to the contract
that she already agreed to. Below is some more detail about her complaint.

We have provided everything we contracted to provide
her. Our terms and conditions are clear, and not unusual for the internet
industry.

*** is responsible for returning equipment to us (paragraph
16 , 17, 35, and 59 of terms and conditions). We will not be sending her
an equipment refund and then hope she returns our equipment.

***’s service was upgraded already without us charging her
for it. She seems to not agree with that, but it was done.

The email copies we previously submitted to Revdex.com are
accurate.

The withdrawal of funds from her account were done according
the to the terms and conditions that *** agreed to.

In the emails we previously uploaded, she asked us to cancel
the service on April 28th. We did that. Then, on April
29th she complained that she did not have service and could we fix
it.

We have done everything we had agreed to in our contract,
plus much more.

*** This is again FALSE, if that was done there would be no issue with service.

*** I believe you charged me for 30mbps but I was NOT receiving that at all.

In the emails we previously uploaded, she asked us to cancel e service on April 28th. We did that. Then, on April 29th she complained that she did not have service and could we fix it.

*** Again False Claim and I have all the corresponding emails to show the conversation.

There is so much that is false and incorrect with their story.

I have zero problem returning their equipment and if they are waiting they can. If they want to mail a label they can as well. It will be mailed when the post office is open. And as I mentioned this morning in response to their numerous phone calls and emails. I will only communicate through this Platform because of the false claims. I do not feel comfortable speaking with them outside this Platform.
