INTERNET HOBBIES, aka - MODEL SHIP DEPOT, MILITARY MODEL DEPOT, MODEL AIRPLANE DEPOT all the same On-line mail order scammer.
I've been a plastic model builder for over five decades and have dealt with over two dozen mail order businesses (placed my first order in 1970 with Squadron Models).
Earlier this year I thought I'd give Internet Hobbies a try(didn't do my homework first, big mistake). Placed a $100 order and 4 weeks later got a box with half my order (no shipping invoice was included, a big RED FLAG). Went to my online account with them and it showed order FULFILLED! I then used their online contact form and heard nothing back. Six more inquires plus phone calls yielded nothing. About the same time I placed an order with Military Model Depot (wasn't until later that I found out they were the same people). That was a $50 order which has yet to be delivered and probably never will. Their policy is no refunds after 30 days, convenient for them since all they have to do is stall you for those 30 days. Go with reputable businesses or Ebay.
They may get the latest kits but that's it. No real time inventory on any of their websites, so you're at their mercy (which they have none). They also aggressively email their always %50 off BS sales. How is it they can send out daily emails from four websites constantly updated, but can't return one customer inquiry email.

Used Internethobbies.com to purchase supplies related to my business. I placed an order for $159.47 USD on 6 December, 2015. Website indicates status of order would be emailed with 4 business days. No status email received. No reply to query emails. Called Internethobbies.com on 21 December 2015 for status. Owner indicated that order would be shipped "when he had shipped orders of higher value first, to meet demands of screaming customers." Order was canceled on-the-spot by me. Internet hobbies.com may restrain your trade. Reliable service may not be provided. Buyer beware.
I placed an order on July 5th for three items that were stated to be in stock and ready to ship(within hours) Three weeks later I had no products, no updates to my order and when I tried calling during their very limited business hours, the mailbox was full I emailed and only received an auto generated response I was finally able to talk to someone and was told that one item is no longer in stock and that the other two would be shipped soon I still did not receive any packagesAnother month later I still had not received anything I threatened to dispute my credit card charges with interest and they finally got back to me....It is now October and I STILL do not have the items I ordered! Mailbox is still full so I cannot leave a message and I am still only receiving automated responses to emails sentI had used Internet Hobbies before and never had this issue Needless to say, I will never be using them again and strongly caution anyone else from using them
I ordered small jars of model paints on 7/26/I called about weeks later and was told that a back-ordered paint would be in the next day and that my order would ship out thenAfter an additional weeks, I called againThis time I was told that the order would
be shipping out the next dayThe email that I sent today, weeks after placing my order, bounced back as undeliverableWhen I called, it went to voice mail and their voice mail box was fullI sure wish I would have googled these crooks before I placed my order!

I placed my order and after 3 weeks I never heard back from them, the status of my order in their website did not have any updates, the fourth week I finally sent them an e-mail asking for the status of my order and they only responded saying that the order was cancelled due to "out of stock item". Until then the status of my order was never posted in their website nor received any notification for an out of stock item. That's a terrible customer service!
I do not recommend this business and I will never buy from them again! Don't waste your time with "Internet Hobbies".
