Review: we saw the Windows at The pgh home show & the quick presentation Jake made, we knew we wanted those windows. we left our information with them. Apparently Thermal Ind relayed our information to Rod M[redacted]/internetwindowsdirect.com. When Rod called he implied he was a factory Rep and of course we wouldn't think otherwise as we did not contact him. I had a 3 & 1/2 hour presentation on the science behind the windows, when I already knew we wanted Thermal Ind we saw at the home show. We We ordered 8 windows, he added the charge for a bathroom window, that wasnt ordered and we didnt want but paid for. Once the details were set, contract written, with a few things forgotten that we talked about. I kept getting reminded how much more everything should be, and that he was losing money. Additionally he kept trying to get more work done on our home, than he was there for. That prompted us to pursue other contractors for additional projects. I didn't appreciate being told about issues he saw with my home that I didn't bring up. He kept saying we could get other jobs done by the installers, and started rattling off a list of flaws with our home. He charged us for a bathroom window we repeatedly said we didnt want, and wasnt ordered. So when it came time to get the last window correctly made, he offered to take $1000 off the bill (forgetting about the the bathroom windows he charged us $495 and didnt exist) Because I told his installers they were NOT allowed to smoke on the property they said they would NOT install the last window. Which wasn't terrible as I know it will get done right. but now we can't get the window and sash from the manufacturer, although they advised us in an email we could have a representative come and get them. As of 10/12 2015 we do NOT have our sash replacement, or our double window. However, Rod has been paid in full and then some. Rod's installers have refused to return we have been told, due to us not allowing tehm to smoke on the propertyDesired Settlement: We want our double window, that we paid for and the window sash that was broke before it was ever installed. The aluminum cover on the one window sill need to be redone, and the sloppy caulking, that should appear seamless not like a small child applied it. He can give us our double window and reimburse us for the corrections.
