Consumer states: I am rejecting there message. I feel that they charged me for over a year wrongfully for something they knew I did not agree on.
This is my written rebuttal concerning my complaint of Intersport Fitness Inc. charging me membership fee's well beyond my membership. (June 2012 extp. date) I was continued to being charged for 2 years 8 months after my One year membership had expired. Intersports contract states that they can extend my contract for " an additional year" with this said why did Intersport continue to charge me another 1 year 8 months (20 months total after additional 1 year was tacted on). I feel that by contract I should be given back the additional 20 months.In conclusion I feel that they had no right to continue to take payments from me after the one year execution. They were well aware that I was not coming to the gym after June 2012. They took my money for their own gain, and are probably doing the same thing to other members.Your help with this is greatly appreciated. I am only seeking justice for myself and hopefully by doing so I can change Intersports way of thinking.P.S.20 months$24.00 per month$480.00 charged unfairlySincerely,[redacted]5-13-15[redacted]
Company states: We have had this consumer for a a couple of years now and this is a billing issue that they had overlooked. We refunded 2 months per our contract.
Review: To whom it may concern;
My name is [redacted], my complaint is against Intersport Fitness Center in Modesto, CA. In June of 2011 I joined Intersport Gym for 1 year. My 1 membership expired in June of 2012. After June of 2012 I never once went to Intersport Gym to work out knowing that my 1 year membership had run out. On reviewing my Bank Statement of March 2015 I realized that Intersport was still taking money out of my account for over 2 1/2 years after my membership had expired. I contacted [redacted] and Loretta of Intersport (owners) of the situation and explained to them that my Membership was expired on June 2012 and that I had never once been to their gym to work-out since. They told me too bad that my contract keeped renewing each year over and over again. For 2 years and 8 months they never contacted or notified me that I was still a member and still being charged for service that I was not using on that I was ever aware of at anytime during the 2 years 8 months.Desired Settlement: There are many conflicts and concerns that I have with what Intersport has done to me and other members past and present. Its not fair or right for what has happened me or possible others.
Thank you for your time and I am looking forward to hearing from you!
