Review: My automobile was shipped from [redacted], MD to [redacted], TX by Interstar Logistics. Below is a timeline of events and issues.

1. Car picked up 6/11/13

2. Car delivered 6/14/13

Issues:

- Roof was damaged; driver did not indicate damage and I had to call shipper/[redacted] after drop-off that there was an issue

- Car was picked up with 1/2 tank of gas; delivered with empty tank indicating that car was driven at least 150 miles.

3. Car was picked up 6/14/13 for repairs

Issues:

- Shipping company verbally told me car would be taken to local shop for repairs

- Indicated that it would be faster than going through insurance company

4. Car not delivered until 6/24/13

Issues:

- Car was promised for redeliver on 6/20/13

- Car was not actually delivered until 6/24/13

- Car was picked up with full tank of gas; delivered with empty tank

- Car was serviced the day of pickup and mileage annotated; delivered with an additional ~800 miles on odometer

- Car was clearly driven instead of transported during time in Interstar Logistics Inc custody

I had spoken with '[redacted]' of Interstar on several occasions and frequently required follow-up phone calls as he was telling me and the subcontractor different stories regarding payment, delivery, etc. [redacted] had also offered to reimburse me for the gas for a total partial refund of $325.

However, in light of the obvious mileage added to the vehicle, the fact is was not returned in the shape it was given (cleanliness inside the vehicle, trash left inside by probable drivers, etc), that the shipping company drove my vehicle as opposed to transporting it on an open carrier for a significant distance, and that Interstar did not provide a rental car during the time it had sent (driven) my car to [redacted], TX for repairs I request a FULL REFUND of $675 from Interstar Logistics Inc.Desired Settlement: Interstar Logistics had spoken with the broker, [redacted], about a full refund since it took more than two weeks to deliver my vehicle and it was damaged in transit. Interstar Logistics requested documentation in regards to my claim that my vehicle was driven. I sent a copy of the Texas state inspection conducted the day it was dropped off/picked up for repairs and a photo of the odometer when it was delivered for the final time. I have not heard from the company despite follow-up emails.

I want a full refund of $675.

Review: Interstar Logistics Inc USDOT #[redacted] was chosen by [redacted] to transport my car from [redacted] to [redacted]. A young man picked up my car, he stated he was not the driver as he signaled to the front of his truck (no one was in the truck) and that he was just helping out. I returned to his truck in my husband's vehicle to ask the young man the date it would arrive in **. When I arrived to his truck, again, there was no one in the driver's cab. The car was picked up 02/28, delivered 03/04. The same young man that picked up my car, delivered my car. When I drove my car it was hard to turn the wheel and would pull when I tried to brake. I drove it to the nearest BMW dealer and when they turned the wheel as the car was parked, you could visibly see a metal bar cracked in half. Left control arm was broken and the right damaged, as well as the wheel housing cover damaged. I contacted the owner of Interstar Logistics who told me to send him pictures. The dealer & I sent him several pictures and some where you could visibly see the big yellow sticker on the arm, circle with a line across it, specifically noting "do NOT" strap in which they did. The owner is refusing to accept responsibility. He stated to me he's been transporting cars for years, I reminded him it was not him personally who transported it, it was someone else -a young man who just made a mistake who I now wonder if the young man was licensed to transport. I would like for him to accept responsibility for reimbursing the costs of $1153.40 to have my car repaired for the damage that was caused by his employee.Desired Settlement: Reimburse costs of $1153.40 to repair the damage caused by his employee.
