Interstate Fencing Company

Review: I hired Interstate fencing on June 4th. He was to remove old fence and install new. He was to replace existing fence with what I had which was 1" full board dog eared. I got 1" true...which is not what I wanted. 2nd..He was instructed to install new fence on property line..he did not. He installed fence where the old fence was. We resolved that issue. The 9 ft gate was supposed to open freely both ways. He installed it on house side...I wanted installed opposite side. He assured me his way was right. The gate only opens one way and does not open more than 70 degrees the wood frame rubs against hinges and will not open any further. I cannot get a vehicle through...which was the purpose of this gate. The 2nd gate in question is located on north side of my house. The fence pole which is hinged is 3 - 4 inches from my house. The gate as is does not open all the way and he broke a board on other side...there is no pole. He said he needed to order another flip up latch. I instructed him to get his tools and leave my property. I have pictures of fence and all issues. He left a voice mail saying he will remove fence and cut posts off at the ground. Since I paid him the down payment plus $1,000 when the posts were cemented. My balance is $1,495 plus tax. Which I am refusing to pay. I need to hire another contractor fix his work. Even if he came and did repairs I would not be satisfied.Desired Settlement: I am keeping the balance and looking for a licensed fence contractor...In which he is not.
