This is in response to the subject complaint.Unfortunately, the complainant is not telling the truth.My wife, who is also the owner of the business, never told the complainant that there will be no charge,We have a standing diagnostics fee of $plus tax and shop supplies it comes out at $
This is intended to cover minutes to one hour of shop labor, lift, air, supplies, etc that we can spend in order to identify the root cause of the trouble with the car.We also have a policy that states if the customer elects to have the repairs done in our shop we will waive that charge and ONLY charge the customer for the required repairs.This policy is intended to stop people from using our labor, wear and tear on our equipment, and supplies and then deciding to go get the required repairs done elsewhere.All of our customer have no problem with this policy, especially since we always use that charge as store credit to be applied at a later date, whenever the customer decides to implement the required repairs identified by the diagnostics.We always tell this to our customer upfront so there are no surprises.Regards,*** and *** ***Meineke Car Care Center #

I am rejecting this response because:The Manager never specified this and told me DIRECTLY that for the $75 Diagnostics Fee that I will NOT be charged it, especially after I brought it up to her intention about the charge when I was giving the keys over to her and noticed it on paper. The work was COVERED, thus they were getting paid for the parts and labor that were covered from the Meineke in Georgia. This only shows that asides from being paid their warranty work, the Manager sought to make another profit off the customer even though they were paid. The business has one week before I have the charges disputed with my CC company with the evidence I have and witnesses (especially from my GA Meineke)
