As stated before, we have no control over this.? This is a [redacted] of America issue and the customer needs to contact them.?

Thank you for forwarding Mr***'s complaint to us. When his car was towed in on the 29th, it was assumed that the repairs would be covered under warranty. However, it turned out that the car had had no maintenance done during its lifetime which Mr*** did not disclose, thus
*** made the decision that the repairs and rental car would not be covered. If they had been, the rental car charges would have been included in the repair. Please note that we were not reimbursed for the diagnosis and time to try and get the repair covered under warranty and did not charge Mr*** for the $that we had invested in the job. Mr*** had the rental car from November 29th to December 5th when he learned that the repairs would not be covered. That is a total of days at ***'s reimbursement rate of $per day. That brings the total to $245, which is less than the $315 we gave him and way less than the $that he claims is owed to him. Since we absorbed $and his rental expense should have been $245, I feel that we were fair in how we handled this situation.

Thank you for forwarding Ms ***’s complaint to usIn reviewing her complaint, it is hard to substantiate that we caused the problem with her wiring without actually seeing what happenedThat being said, because she did try to contact us unsuccessfully, we will issue a credit to her in the
amount of $

Please note that we did not make the decision to deny Mr*** replacement of his engine. *** of America made that decision based on Mr*** not being able to show proof of oil changes performed. This is an issue between Mr*** and *** of America. I have
provided him with the phone number to contact them. Here it is again. 1-***

Satterlee Plumbing did go to ms Plews house and clear her kitchen sink. We used a sewer machine that we charge a fee to use. This was made...

very clear to ms [redacted] before we came out. We have charged this fee since they invented sewer machines because the maintenance on them is extensive.
It is categorically false that her calls were not returned by me. I called the number that we were given at the time of the service and left messages (they were not returned) I also returned the call of a Rhonda Houston that I spoke to and explained the charges to. Rhonda seemed to understand and said that she would speak to Ms [redacted]. That was the last interaction I had regarding this service call.

I called Ms Plews number again this morning to discuss this with her. Again I left a message. I will be happy to discuss this with Ms [redacted] even now.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/03/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Whether he spoke to miss houston or not it was deceptive and I dont care how he explains it. You can close this case. I will not do business with this company again and neither will my facebook friends or family that I shared this information with. I have had to have additional work done by a plumber who did not charge for "parts". I do not want to be contacted by this company. I also did not have a message from this perso.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/03/09) */
I am sorry that ms [redacted] feels this way. I continued to try to contact ms [redacted] and Ms houston after the last response on here. I will respect her wishes not to be contacted, however I continue to respectfully disagree with her position on the invoice.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/12) */
On September 2 Satterlee Plumbing was called out to the customers rental property to clear the house sewer. The customer presented the service call as a stoppage in the sewer. Upon arrival our service plumber found that the bath tub was full...

of raw sewage and had been for numerous days. The tenants had been sleeping outside. Our employee found the clean-out outside the house behind some bushes. The clean-out had been dumping raw sewage into the yard/bushes for a good while. Our employee then tried to clear the sewer with our machine through this clean out. He was able to relieve the toilets at that point but the tubs did not drain. he determined that the tub waste was separate from the toilets.
At this point he scheduled a backhoe for the next day to locate the grey water line and the sewer line. The next day after digging the two lines he found that the two lines tied together right before they entered the septic tank. At the entrance to the septic tank, someone had previously dug it up and cut a hole in the top of the pipe entering the tank. As we excavated it, our ditch began to fill with sewage.
The plumber then dug a larger "relief hole" to allow the sewage to run into. This was done for two reasons, #1 it allowed the plumber to see the pipe that he was attempting to work on and #2 it made it possible for him to work in the ditch without standing in raw sewage. Another side effect of this hole was that it drained the house of the raw sewage allowing temporary usage for the tenant. After observing the tank contents flowing back into the ditch/hole from the septic tank our service plumber then determined that the entire septic system was compromised and informed the owner that we do not work on septic systems. We recommended that they hire a pumping service to pump the tank and consult a septic system installation contractor.
Sometime after this we received a call the customer stating that he felt like we had not completed the job. I described what we had done (above) and gave him the name and number of the company to call to pump the septic tank and also a name of a company to advise him on the septic system. I also told him he could call the county to get the entire list of licensed septic system installers. He accepted this and asked if I could call his wife and explain all this to her, which I did. The next day, the wife called back angry and said that the septic tank pump company could not find the septic tank. I told her that we had exposed the corner of the tank so they should have found it (I speculate that they found it but that it was too deep to get the hose into with out hand digging).
At this point I told the customer I was sorry that this was going poorly for them. As a gesture of goodwill, I offered (at no charge to them) to take the backhoe back out to the house and expose the tank for the pump company. The customer was extremely rude and threatening.
I reasoned that if I was offering to do more work at no charge why not let me and then be mad and threatening after the tank was pumped? She said she would consider it. Then next day, I got a voicemail from her husband stating that if any of my employees or I stepped foot on his property he "was going to exercise his rights" he further stated that this "wasn't an threat but a promise".
My offer is still good to them to assist in pumping their tank at no charge.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/09/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company never offered to expose the tank for the other company, as that septic company came out twice and said that where they had dug was not at the septic. As of yesterday, the pumping company said that they would not be involved in this issue and it was between us and Satterlee. Satterlee's only offered to cover the hole with the broken pipe not fixed but not one time did they say that they would dig up the septic for the service people to clean out. It would have not been in my best interest not to close the hole with nothing being fixed, as another company would have to dig it up again and charge me again for the excavation of the hole.
As to my being mad and angry. I did not get angry until I called the plumbing, which Satterlee recommended and they said that they could not find a cleanout for the septic, as Satterlee stated that they had found in their response. If the clean out was marked, why could the pumping company, the company that they recommended, not find it? When I called, the conversation did not start off angry. The owner was very rude and told me how it was going to be and how he was losing money on this and tried to bully me into making a decision. He told me to "shut up" and not let my "ego" get in the way of making a decision. He also started shouting and would not be quite and let me speak. When I told him that I could not make major decisions on the property and that he could make the offer to my husband, he told me that he was not going to get involved in my "marital problems" and that if we did not talk that was not his problem.
When I told this to my husband, he decided not to have them back on the property. The company was also rude to my renter when she called about the mess that was out there and she was basically treated the same way. I can received texts and I have several voice mails from my renter on this. Since there has been no resolution at this time, I do not accept the response.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/09/19) */
There is really nothing I can add to this. It is all explained previously. The offer made previously is still good.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2015/09/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I had another company come out last week to the property to look at the situation. They also stated that the septic is not where Satterlee dug and that that septic was closer to the house than where Satterlee dug. Septic does need to have new lateral lines and a new top put on it and we are prepared to do that. However, I feel that Satterlee cannot complete the job because they never dug in the right place to begin with. I don't mind paying for the snaking and anything to do with that but I feel that since they dug in the wrong place that I should not have to pay for all of the excavation that was done since they did not dig in the right place. Also they did not call dig right to mark where they dug and there are some kinds of fiber optic or telephone lines that were exposed, which is a violation of state law.
