Drop off car to fix tramission - paid 2300 - got car back - check engine light comes on and engine is destroyed ( as they said when I tow it back) Dropped of car to get tramission fix. Completed job - stated could be rough and need broken in for up to 1000 miles. Got car - check engine light came on about a week later and tranmission stop working again - driving to drop off (only in second gear as trasmission failed) as they advised to bring it in. Engine blew on highway. Towed there - they stated engine blew I would need to fix it elxse and then they would refix trasmission - engine was fine and no light before hand until the completeled repair.Desired SettlementI want my car fix to how it was before I brought it in to them plus fix the transmission I paid 2300 for them to do CORRECTLYBusiness' Initial Response INTERSTATE TRANSMISSION SHIPPED DONE VEHILCE WITH COMMENTS TO WATCH FOR LEAKS OR ANY CONCERNS AND CALL IF THERE IS A PROBLEM.SEVERAL DAYS LATER I WAS CALLED AND SAID HE WAS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE SHIFTING AND DID NOT THINK THAT IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY AT THAT TIME HE WAS TOLD TO GET THE VEHILVE BACK TO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND THAT IF HE WAS NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING IT WE WOULD SEND A TRUCK TO PICK IT UP WE DID NOT HERE BACK FROM ANYBODY FOR OVER A WEEK WHEN THE SAME GENTLE MAN CALLED AND SAID HE HAD BROKEN DOWN IN WATERTOWN AND THAT THE VEHILVE WAS BEING TOWED IN BY AAA WHEN THE VEHILVE ARRIVED WE STARTED IT TO DIAGNOSE ANY PROBLEM AND FOUND THAT THE ENGINE WAS DAMAGED THE VEHICLE HAD MULTIPLE ENGINE CODES AS WELL AS TRANSMISSION CODES IT IS MY PROFESSIONAL OPINOIN THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN WHEN IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN AND PUSHED TO HARD RESULTING IN ENGINE FAILURE.IT IS OUR MISSION TO PLEASE EVERY CUSTOMER HOWEVER I BELIEVE THAT RESPONSIBLE ATTENTION TO THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM WAS NOT IN PLAY WITH THIS VEHILCE AND IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RETURNED WHEN WE FIRST SPOKE AS,WAS INSTRUCTED WHEN WE FIRST SPOKE AND CONTINUED NEGLIGENT OPPERATION WAS TO BLAME FOR THE ENGINE FAILURE THERE FOR WE FEEL THAT THE ONLY RESPONABLITY TO INTERSTATE TRANSMISSION IS TO REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION WHEN THE ENGINE IS IN RUNNING ORDER. Consumer's Final Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)No - we paid for the transmission to be repaired - and was on way to bring it to shop - it was minally drove and a car cant magically appear at show it needed be driven in - it was not correctly repair - due to this bad repair it affected what otherwise was a working vehicle. If the full repairs are not to be done we request the money back for the transmission repair - the company can take the transmission out if they wish - there faulty repair has destroyed the car. We will tow the car once this hard earned 2300 is refunded to us - and we will remove vehicle minus the transmission. This has been nothing but a terrible experience. Business' Final Response It has always been interstate transmission's goal to completely satisfy all of our customers 100% as you can see from our Revdex.com and other online ratings. We take great pride in our reputation and responsible response to all customer concerns. If Interstate Transmission was contacted properly as stated in our first we would have been more than willing to dispatch a tow truck to retrieve vehicle as is standard operating procedure. Having been in business for more than 25 years I have never seen such irresponsible vehicle operation, to push a vehicle with a problem so far as to damage the engine in this manner therefore we will not offer a full refund however in order to to try to satisfy the customer we would be willing to offer a 50% refund ($1150.00) for release of any further obligation to this matter. If this is not an acceptable offer we repair transmission only and suggest that the individual who drove this vehicle in this irresponsible manner also be liable for this.
