Review: Shop over charged for repair that should cost no more than few hundred dollars.

Parts repaired

1> Fuse

2> Air Horn

Called shop advised AC blower does not work. All is needed is to fix the motor or electrical issue. Shop ignored the request and tried to put on new compressor and charge for unnecessary parts.

Advised shop the ac compressor is less then 30 days old and can not be bad. Shop then advised ac system is fine and just needs a new fuse which cost less then 20.00 dollars.

Air horn cost under $50.00 dollars and about one hour labor to replace....

The whole job should of been under 250.00......But the shop charged us just under $700.00 total of 675.44...

We would like a refund on the over charge..Desired Settlement: Seeking refund of $425.00

Business' Initial Response

Customer brought in unit for a/c repair. Inspected and found unit leaking freon at compressor. Recovered 1.47lbs of freon system should have 3lbs. Made customer an estimate for repairs customer declined and just wanted unit patched. Made estimate for patch repair. Customer approved estimate. Repaired unit as agreed to on estimate. Estimate was for $675.34 final bill was $654.76 therefore I feel we do not owe this customer a refund.
