We first meet Ms***
doing a complete kitchen remodel. Which she has stated we "did an impeccable job". At the end of the remodel she had asked if we would take a look at a few other plumbing repairs. At a later date we went out to look at the plumbing repairs. During our meeting Ms*** told us she had already hired a plumber to take care of the master shower faucet issue and the plumber had a lot of trouble attempting to repair the faucet and was unsuccessful stopping the leak. I explained to her that we could try and repair it but it would be possible that we would have to replace the entire shower valve. We both agreed to try and repair the faucet because the replacement cost was much higher. During our meeting she also spoke with us about the toilet in the hall bath. She said the toilet would periodically run. Which it never did during our inspection but she was concerned about her water bill due the toilet running. Which is understandable. We set up a later date to come back and take care of the repairs as agreed upon. Ms*** left us a key out so we could complete the repairs on the shower faucet and toilet. She also had bought new shower knobs for us to install while we were there. We spent a lot of time going to multiple supply stores trying to find part for her toilet and faucet because they where so old. We completed the repairs and at the time we left both fixtures where working properly. We sent her the bill for the repairs and she requested a brake down for parts and labor. Which we sent her. A week or so later Ms*** called and said the faucet was leaking again so we went back out and told her she would need to replace the faucet. A month or so later I receive a letter from Ms*** stating how unhappy she was and that she had hired another plumber to fix the problem. Than a day or so later I received the letter from the Revdex.com. Ms*** never gave us a chance to discuss a price reduction or a way for us to resolve the issue. We would be willing to give her a deduction on the repairs.Greg W*** **Intrastate Service Co

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. While I appreciate Mr. W[redacted] response and his willingness to give a "deduction" on the charges. I don't feel I owe Intrastate any money at all, especially in light of the great expense the leaking faucet caused me ( water, electric bills and payment to the plumber who corrected the problem). I would like a statement from the company saying that I don't owe them any money.
Regards,

Review: I hired this company in December to repair a leaking faucet in my shower and to replace the flapper assembly in a toilet. I purchased new handles for the faucet which were, apparently, not the right type (no mention of this was made). The faucet began leaking a few days after the repair and I requested that someone come fix it again. On December the 14th, the plumber who came told me that the pipes were old and that I would probably have to have a hole cut in the wall to replace them. By December 31st water was running out of the faucet in a very strong stream and the handles were falling off. There was no noticeable difference in the toilet. It still wouldn't flush properly. I called a different plumber who came on New Years Eve and stopped the leak. He returned two days later with correct parts and new faucet handles and repaired the shower. It hasn't leaked since. I have returned the invoice to the company with a letter stating that I will not make final payment to them for the faucet or the toilet. The charges for the toilet were $90.00 for parts and $200.00 for labor. The faucet repair was $110.00 for a total of $400.00. Not only was the work performed substandard and unacceptable but the price for the toilet repair is outrageous. I had to request in writing an itemized invoice for the work and there was still no breakdown of charges. My water bill for the month of December was $145.80 (January it was $58.76), I paid the real plumber $175.00 and because the leak was hot water, my electric bill was $50.00 higher than it's ever been. I want a zero balance invoice from this vendor and an apology.Desired Settlement: I want a zero balance invoice from this company because they did such lousy work
