I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***. I am not statisfied with the business response because even though oil was given to me it irritated my scalp even moreTherefore I stopped using itAs for the wig I provided my own hair but the wig itself was extremely poorly made I tried to wear it for a week and tracks had already started to come loose and I complained that the wig was too small because no measurements were taken to ensure the wig would fitI was told there were strapsThe straps didn't help and I left it at that because she seemed irratated that I was complaining so I thought it was best to handle it this wayI was also told that they would contact their insurence about this matter but have yet to be contactedSince I can no longer braid the middle of my head I have resorted to making my own wigsAs a novice none of my tracks are loose and the wig fits and is in tackTheir response also says that they were not made aware that my hair was too tight till november however while braiding my hair I was holding my head and making noises enough for the styles to give me what I believed to be some sort of pain killersTherefore they knew it was too tight and never offered to fix it then why woukd I think they would fix it laterI didnt want to waste my moneyAlso their responses on google to peoples complains were very combative and I dont do well with arguingAs for me having traction alopecia or some sort of underlining issue that is falseThe Dermatologist's job isnt to determine the one thing that cause the bald spotShe cant because she doenst know my life but I doThe owner did not see an bumps to show it was because of the braids because it had been months later that she looked at my scalpIm sure any evidence of bumps was long goneAnd yes I have a tiny bald spot from scaring when I was a child I scratched my head too hard and cut my scalp now my hair would have grown back but I had a problem with picking scabsWhich is what caused the scaring and caused a tiny bald spotOther than that I have never ever had clumps of hair fall out my headFor the past year I was the only person doing my hairThe one time I go to this salon this problem happensFurthermore making me a wig and giving me oil does not cover my medical bills, time off of work or pain and sufferingMy hair does not grow fast and now I have a bald spot in the middle of my head which makes me feel like less of a women

The oil provided was not perscibed by any doctor seen by me to determine the proper treatmentThe treatment I did recieve cost more than the oil provided and I want to be compensatedThe weave was the cause of my hair lossAs fot the wig I did not wear it right away to determine if it fit which was told to you by textIt is too small and barely fits on my head thats not an opinion thats factsThe wig I first made was an experiment with crochet braids not the wig I am refering too (see attached both were made by me)No offer was made to install the hair because it was at the end of the day and everyone was leaving it was rushed and done last minuteWhich is exactly why it is loose and coming apartAlso my hair whould have needed to be braided down seeing as it was in big braidsSo thats a lieAs for your insurance no one spoke to me for me to give my evidence as to why it is your faultWhen I was in the salon you told me someone else had come in to take out their weave because it was too tight which to me starts to show a patternHow this time it isnt your fault I dont understandPlease provide insurance information so that I can hear the rejection from them

The hair oil we purchased was given because it has been recommended by practitioners (dermatologists) our clients use who have traction alopecia and is used to promote hair growth. The wig we made and silk closure we provided was given and a issue with sizing was made two weeks after receipt. We did offer to install at the time it was given and the customer refused. We use standard size wig caps that have adjustable straps for all our clients. This is the first time we have been told about poor construction and tracks coming loose. It was our suggestion that she speak with a professional individual who is able to determine the cause of hair loss (dermatologist) I asked the type of insurance the client had which she stated was mass health which I know from experience is 100% covered under these circumstances. She contacted and made an appointment with a referral from her insurance company rather than someone we would suggest to be unbiased. They are the only individuals qualified to determine why someone experiences hair loss. The dermatologist findings were sent to our insurance provider but based on the findings from their report we would not be held liable. Many of our clients are referred to us by dermatologists once they are diagnosed with alopecia because many insurance companies cover the cost of wigs. Which is something we specialize in. I personally made the decision to make the wig at no cost to the customer without being asked because of the wig she shown me she had completed. It appeared to me to be poorly constructed. The wig services and silk closure was actually paid by me. Our hairstylists and wig makers work off of commission. What was provided free of charge costs more than what the client paid.

9/23/2017 she came for the first time and received a full weave installation for $200 from an employee of ours who has been providing this service for the last 15 years. installation had been removed by already. Her own natural hair was in several jumbo braids. She had a clear ziplock back full of her own hair. She told me that we had braided her hair to tight and caused her to come out. This was the first time we were made aware of any issue. I asked her why she didn't call us? she stated she didn't think we would do anything. I explained we can not fix any issue we are not made aware of. I then looked at her hair and scalp and noticed a huge amount of hair loss in the middle of her head. I visually saw no irritation to the scalp such as redness or bumps which an indication that the braids were done even tightly enough to remove hair from the root. I then asked her about another bald spot on her head. She stated it was done a long time ago. I then suggested she see a dermatologist who could determine the exact cause of the problem. While at our location I told her I would get her same oils our clients who have traction alopecia use. These particular oils cost $30 and came at no cost to her. She then came in another day to pick them up. While at our location she talked about making a wig herself and showed it me, I then decided to make the wig at no cost to her and provide a closure for hair she already had. Our cost to make wigs is $250 and the silk closure is $150. She came another day to pick up the wig. Several weeks later she provided the summary of her visit from the dermatologist. It states on the patient instruction for scalp: likely combination of traction alopecia and central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia. It does not mention because of the weave service. Traction alopecia is defined by gradual or longterm tension by putting the hair under constant strain with prthe use of braids or tight ponytails. This would not be the cause of a one time occurrence as she stated we only braided her one time. Central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia the exact cause is unknown but was thought to be related to the use of hot combs, relaxers and excessive tension with braids and weaves. The only way it can be 100% determined is with a scalp biopsy. I dont believe this was done because of the use of "likely" Both alopecia are the cause of longterm use of braids this can happen over a period of several years. It is my firm professional opinion that she had a underlining hair condition prior to getting serviced.
