Hello,
I have retained their firm to do a personal background check on *** before our engagement, but I am unable to confirm her birth date and without this information a background check won't be possible.
I have e-transferred $1500 for a background check service on April 23rd which is not possible without her birth date. I have requested refund to my account as background check wont be possible at this stage. However they neither reply to my e-mail nor refund.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could help.

$1500 is not a small amount & I have requested them to refund my money. I have proof of e-payment to ***, he is co-owner. *** if background check is not possible without a birth date then should return $1500 to my account. please look into the matter seriously and take necessary action asap

We were working on this and are now investigating the motive.
The retainer paid to date has been used up in research as the scope was changed when client could not produce date of birth as promised.
Several attempts to contact *** (as he identified himself to us) have been unsuccessful.
We now learn his name is possibly ***.
We will further attempt to contact this person and settle this directly if at all possible and reasonable.
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I have satisfied by their response & background check has been completed.
