I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Invisible Fence of Northern NY severed clearly marked sprinkler lines, refused to bury the wire, crushed two sprinkler heads and damaged the cable wire coming into the house, they did not show up for their first scheduled installation and completely denied any responsibility for the improperly installed systemIt cost me $to repair the sprinkler system, the repairs were done by A&E Lawn Sprinkler Systems who are now out of business and nobody seems able to locate themI am now in the position of having to replace the whole Invisible Fence systemIt is my position that all these problems were caused by Invisible Fence of Northern NY and they have refused to honor their commitment, I will use every means available to make it known to my friends and associates the deplorable state of this business. Regards, *** ***

Sorry to hear that you were frustrated with out customer service.  In the future, if you have any issues, please feel free to reach out to myself, Steve, at [redacted]Our policy is to offer customers options when they need service...1)  Come to the office - Many customers choose to do...

this, especially those that live close by, to avoid the service charge.2)  Set up a service call.Unfortunately, the office wasn't able to resolve the issue due to the settings on the transmitter and then we need to do a service call to your home.To help alleviate your the cost associated with your travel and your time, we'd like to offer you a 2 time a year battery plan (a value of $48.14).Thank you

From our perspective....1)  We did not miss any installation dates (the customer postponed the installation that was scheduled for November of 2013).2)  When we arrived, some of the sprinkler heads were marked with a flag.  The sprinkler lines were not marked.3)  We offered to pay for the one sprinkler head that was apparently damaged by the installation.4)  The Invisible Fence system is working correctly (based on a service call that the customer requested August of 2015 - which we did at no charge).

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The sprinkler system was installed and repaired after the improper
installation by [redacted] which is/was owned by a Mr. [redacted], [redacted] Co has only done current openings and
closings and their technicians both told me the lines were well below
the proper level. Three sprinkler heads were actually damaged and
several lines were cut, the Owner of Invisible Fence of NNY was shown
the damage and refused to acknowledge the damage.  My next step is small claims court and social media.  The response is completely unacceptable.  Regards,  [redacted]

Hello,Please update your records with the following information...1)  As of 3/1/2014, [redacted] is no longer the owner of Invisible Fence of Northern NY.  Steve Rentz acquired the assets of the business on that date.2)  Our address is 1532 Route 9, Clifton Park NY 12065.  3)  Our telephone number is 518-587-00324)  Our e-mail address is [redacted] In response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint, here is our perspective...a)  The system was installed correctly on 4/19/14 and wire was buried where possible on 8/4/14 (we were not able to bury the wire prior to this due to "mesh" keeping the yard intact.  Areas of Mr. [redacted]'s yard does have wire exposed due the steep grade and amount of ground cover - making it impossible for us to get our equipment in there to bury the wire.  Our wire is made with a UV coating on it to protect it from the sun and has an outer wall that is thicker than standard wire to help deter breakage.  This type of install is fairly common (in fact my own yard has exposed wire since the system was installed 8 years ago - we have not had any issues).b)  Customer called due to an alarm sounding on their transmitter.  This is typically an indication that there is no continuity on the system (usually due to a wire break).  Customer asked to schedule a service call at which time he was informed that our normal time and material rates of an $80 trip charge (includes the first 30 minutes of labor) plus parts and materials (estimated at $23) would be charged.  Additional labor would be charged at $40 for each additional 30 minutes (or any part of).  We will be performing this service call on 8/10/2015.c)  Our equipment buries wire at a depth of approximately 2".  Irrigation system lines are normally installed 6 to 8" deep.  If the irrigation system was installed as expected, it would be impossible for us to have cut his irrigation lines.  Some of Mr. [redacted]'s irrigation heads were flagged, however none of his lines were marked.  Invisible Fence is not responsible for anything underground that has not been marked.  Mr [redacted] called us at 10am on 8/21 and told us the following (and we do quote): "Technician had cut a sprinkler head and thrown it to the side."  I spoke with the technician who performed that work who said he did not, nor would he ever do that.  When I mentioned that to Mr. [redacted], he called the technician a liar and asked me to come out to see for myself and that he wanted a written apology from myself and the technician.  I arrived at Mr. [redacted]'s home at 10:30.  When I asked where the damaged sprinkler head was, Mr [redacted] took me to the spot (which was approximately 2' away from where we had buried the wire) and he reached down to pick up the sprinkler head that had supposedly been thrown to the side.  Mr.  [redacted] was unable to pick up the head because it was still attached to the irrigation line and had not been damaged by us.  Mr [redacted] also took me to another spot to look at a different head.  At first it was difficult to locate because silt has washed over the head burying it.  Mr. [redacted] was eventually able to uncover the head.  The head had a nick in the side of it.  I offered to pay to replace the head.  Mr. [redacted] refused and instead told me he would see me in small claims court.d)  We have a lifetime warranty on our electronics (transmitter and most of our receivers).  We do not have a warranty on wire (expressed or implied).  We stand behind our products and perform approximately 1,600 service calls/installations per year.e)  Mr. [redacted] told me that [redacted] had performed the repairs on the system.  I spoke to ** after the fact and confirmed that an irrigation systems should be installed 6 to 8" deep.  ** Lawn Sprinkle was unable to verify any repairs made to Mr. [redacted]'s system (they did indicate they closed the system at the end of 2014 and opened it in 2015).It Is our position that we do not owe Mr. [redacted] anything.
