Invisible Fence Of Susquehanna Valley, Inc. Reviews (1)

Review: We had Invisible Fence of Susquehanna Valley come out to our residence to get a quote on the installation of their fencing product. We originally set up the appointment by going online to get their phone number. We had absolutely no problems getting them to come out for the quote. The quote for the product/services seemed reasonable, so we decided to proceed with their offer. The fence install was scheduled for Monday, May 13th, 2013 between 8am & 9am. At 9:15am, I called the company & left a voice mail requesting that someone call me back to confirm someone was on their way to install our fence. I heard nothing back. Again, at 10:25am, I called them again & spoke to a guy by the name of [redacted]. [redacted] stated that he wasn't sure where his installer guy was because he hadn't heard anything, but ensured me that he would call his installer &then call me right back in a few minutes to let me know at what time to expect him to arrive. Again, I received no return phone call as promised. Finally, at 11:15am, over 2 hours past my scheduled time slot, the installer by the name of [redacted] appeared on my door steps. I think I may have expected more of an apology more than what I received. He asked where to lay the fence wire, so we walked around the perimeter of the home. We also discussed where he was going to put the control box in the home. He said that the install process would take about an hour, and then he would conduct our first training session with my dog. Once we were through with him walking my dog on the leash around our property one time, we came inside to finalize. My originally quote for the fence was $1,164. When he stated my total of that amount, I was irritated that nothing was going to be done about the fact they were so late to arrive. At this time, I called into the Invisible Fence office and again spoke to [redacted]. I requested something monetary be taken off my bill to make up for my long wait. [redacted] responded that "[redacted], his sales guy, had to make that decision on the price & that he wasn't going to be in the office until next Monday morning due to vacation. " I was irritated and stated I wasn't writing out my check until I had a resolved price. At that point, [redacted] put me on hold & said he was going to call [redacted] on his vacation to see if there was something he could do for me. Once [redacted] got back on the phone, he said he would give me a $64.00 savings and make my total an even $1,100. I expressed angrily how I felt about him never returning my phone call, and said that he needed to learn to stand by what he says. Once I hung up, I was still not happy knowing that I was only offered such a small amount of savings, so I had my installer, [redacted], call [redacted] back to make my offer of $1,050. All parties agreed, and that's the amount I wrote my check out for made payable to Invisible Fence. We were also supposed to receive an indoor wireless disk with our install price, and that was not delivered on this date. I was told by [redacted] that I would receive that on my second training visit I had pre-scheduled on Thursday, May 18th between 9am & 11am. I had him write that down before he left & write his name beside it to ensure I receive everything I had asked and paid for in advance. Then, On our second training date set up for Thursday, May 18th between 9am & 11am, I waited until exactly 11am to call into the Invisible fence office to see where our trainer was at and what time he'd be here to train. I again spoke to [redacted], and his response was that the trainer was already at my house at 8:10am until 8:45am waiting in my driveway but I never answered the door. He stated that his guy called my cell phone, but it went straight to voice mail, and that he knocked on my door. I never received a phone call to my cell phone, and if it went straight to my voicemail like they are claiming, then they left absolutely no voice mail to alert me of their presence at my residence. If they knocked, I never heard my dog bark, which is really since she was crated right by the front door on this particular morning. If it is true that someone was here, they failed at attempting to be sure no one was home because I was home all morning. I asked if someone could at least drop off my indoor wireless disk unit and I was told that the guy was already there and no one answered. I think if you already failed to please a customer in the same week, you'd think they'd do everything possible to not have it happen again. (especially over something that can be solved so easily over a phone call) I asked when the earliest I could get my second training was & I was given the option of Saturday may 18th in the afternoon between 3pm & 4pm or the following Monday. I chose the Saturday appointment and told [redacted] that I expect them to be sitting in my driveway at 3pm that day. He got smart & said he couldn't guarantee that because my time frame was between 3 & 4pm. I am anxious to see If they can hold true to their word and be here in that time frame & also show up & actually have my indoor unit with them because I have my doubts.

I chose this company to do my fence because the sales guy seemed true to his word. The price seemed reasonable. After dealing with this group of people, especially the owner of the company, [redacted], I will not recommend them to anyone or purchase my replacement batteries or equipment from them. I will go through the other local Invisible Fence company in my area.Desired Settlement: I would love for an apology from this company. I would love for the owner & his employees to learn how to properly use a phone to conduct business. A simply phone call could save a lot of unnecessary headaches to all parties involved. I want to be sure that I receive my indoor unit that I have already paid for. I want to receive all of my proper training sessions in a timely matter. I would like to see this company be part of the Revdex.com so more people can review their credentials before getting to this point with this company and being so unsatisfied. I want to have proof that this claim was made, so I can relax knowing I did my part to make the public aware of the situation at hand in regards to Invisible Fence of Susquehanna Valley in Pennsylvania.
