Hair color depends on the factors of how gray the hair is, when is the last time it has been processed like bleached, permed, colored, or deep treatedA lot of customers buy hair colors and come back to buy different colors because they did not achieve the color on the first tryThis is the same for beauticians, who have a long experience with hair productsOur store policy is that no refunds or exchanges can be made after days from date of purchase as stated on the receipt and on a sign behind the cash register in the storeIn exception, there are certain products that are no exchange/no refund at allNow the gentleman came and talked with the cashierBecause the purchase was more than days old, he agreed to talk with me as I was not in the storeHe called me the next day, I told him I want to see the color that really came out and he will have full credit as cash if he had paid in cash or, if he paid by credit card, the credit would be sent to the cardHe agreedAt this point, I did not know that the purchase is more than days oldAfter some time, a call came with the same subject, but the caller is a femaleShe told me the same story and I gave her the same informationShe wanted a refund manually, but that is against our credit card transaction policyShe said she cannot come to the store for the next months and she will call her credit card company to reverse the transactionI called Clairol (###-###-####) and they told me that Beautiful Collection hair colors do not expire

I am rejecting this response because:I live in New York CityThis business is located in New BrunswickIt is not feasible to for me to return the product, especially within the time the owner specifiedHe neither pointed out his return policy nor stated a 7-day return policy at point-of-saleMy friend had the receipt and the product when he was turned awayI offered the credit card number by phone and Mr. *** responded that “he needed the physical card.” Further, the intention to use bottles of hair color within days is ludicrous.When I purchased the product I asked where on the bottle the expiration date was The owner replied that "the product was good forever." I said "I doubted that." I bought all the bottles he had on the shelf After the unfortunate color result, both my friend and I called Coty's Clairol Beautiful Collection (###-###-####)We were both told the same thing Beneath the bar code is a production code Three years added to the production code equals the expiration dateAfter the expiration date the color is unstable The product was years beyond the expiration dateI am confident if you contacted them you would receive the same answer Mr. *** is a liarMy beautician can also testify to the result. Because the purchase was more than 7 days old, he agreed to talk with me as I was not in the store.
