iPlumb Home Services Reviews (%countItem)

On Mar 25th, IPLumb sent a service team out to my house in relation to an *** warranty service call for my sump pump issues. The pump had not been pumping efficiently and my basement actually flooded with about an inch of water. This occurred the night of Thursday Mar 21. I was able to jiggle the pump and it pumped all the water out overnight so it was working when the arrived, albeit not well. The crew could not come out Fri the 22nd and came the 25th. Prior to their arrival the pump continued to work and kept the sump emptied all weekend. We had a massive rainfall the 21st so all the ground water kept filling the sump all weekend. It was a very unique weather event.

When the techs finished inspecting they said there was mud in the pump and that it was "shot". They said I needed a new pump but it would not be covered under warranty. They left after leaving a quote for a new pump which was more than I was willing to pay since I could easily buy one off the shelf and install. Nothing wrong with the quote as they are in business to make money; I get it.

My issue is after they left I decided to plug the pump back in since it was working prior to them arriving, albeit poorly. I was amazed to find that the second 90 degree elbow after the pump was not glued. I discovered this when the pump started and blew the joint apart and water all over me and the walls. This was not how it was before. Then the lengths seemed off. Very odd. I then looked around over in the utility closet and behind my well pressure tank I saw what was left of a broken PVC elbow. Upon further inspection the other elbow at the joint that just came apart was not glued looked to be brand new. It was all white, inside and out and still shiny. I then remembered there assistant tech going outside and coming back in during the inspection . I assume now it was to go grab an elbow to replace the one they broke.

As the sump was filling up with water I ran to Lowes and had to pick up a new length of pipe to make up for the shortened one lost in the cracked old elbow that was hidden. I glued it all up and reconnected the old pump and low and behold it pumped the water out. It wasn't completely efficient and working about 50% of what it should have been but it worked for now. I ordered a new pump from Amazon which arrived 2 days later. The old pump kept up with the sump until I was able to install the new one.

I was never told by your tech that he broke my pipes. All he said was the pump was dead and would not work, which was not true. I am amazed that someone would actually break plumbing and try to hide the broken piece behind my pressure tank. I mean at least take it with you to cover it up better. I have photos and video to prove all of this.

This company installed a water filtration system that leaked two days after it was installed causing thousands in damages to our home. They are giving us hard time over refunding for the cost of the equipment that caused the leak.

A plumbing company that prides itself on exceptional customer service. Staff has a copious amount of knowledge when explaining product features. Don't be fooled by the imposter!
