anyone covers physical damage. In general the warranty covers swiping issues with the screen, and sensitivity never physical damage.
Your original cost was $99 per device, you now have lcd damage which is usually an additional $10, making it $110, in this regards you are getting a very steep discount.

Review: I purchased two iPhone 5 screen repairs from iProdigy. I paid them $199.98 cash. The [redacted] told me they used "authentic Apple parts" for the repair and that the screen was warranted for 3 months. The screen was blinking on one of the phones right when when we picked it up. The [redacted] told us to take it home and wait a few days because it will correct itself. The screen stopped blinking but two days later lines appeared on the phone. He said if there were ANY problem that I could return the phone because there was a 3 month warranty. I returned to them with the phone. He said my son must have dropped it and broken it and they would fix it again for a $45 courtesy fee. He refused to back his policy and denied his statement that they used "authentic Apple parts." He said, "I never said that!" When I went home I checked their website and found a disclaimer about using authentic parts! He lied to me in the store when he said they used authentic Apple parts.

I refused to pay $45 when he said to return with any problems because there was a three month warranty. He asked me to leave the store and REFUSED to repair the phone. My son's phone is now unworkable and I have to purchase a new phone from SprintDesired Settlement: I would like a $99.99 refund for one phone because I was told that they used "authentic Apple parts." Then he denied stating that. I now have to purchase a new Apple iPhone because my son's phone is now unusable since the repair that was done with unauthorized Apple parts and/or done improperly.

Review: On December [redacted] we paid to have a screen replaced for an iphone 5. The screen became loose and eventually the iphone stopped working on 1/*/14. I brought the phone back today Saturday 1/**/14 to have the problem fixed as the work came with a 90 day warranty. this is my sons phone and he told the man the screen became loose and the phone had also fallen from the bed to a carpeted floor. The salesman immediately said the phone must have broken from a serious fall and it could not be repaired. There are no scratches or marks anywhere on the phone. He also said that the phone shold have been brought back immediately after the screen became loose , not days after. I asked for the written warranty and was told there was none, except for the sign that says all work comes with a 90 day warranty. They offer a $249 fix on the I phone screen but that is only for cash payments. He wanted to charge us $190.00 to fix it again. the I phone 5 is supposed to be virtually impossible to break. the screen broke after being run over by a car and we had them repair it and they refused to repair what they "fixed" in under 30 days.Desired Settlement: I want my $249 back. plus tax.

Thank you for contacting us with your complaint. We at

iProdigy strive to deliver the best possible customer service interaction when

dealing with repairing your device.

You originally emailed us on DEC [redacted], 2013. With the

following message:

“My

Iphone fell out of my pocket and was run over by a car, the fingerprint scanner

still works but the rest of the screen is shattered. The phone still works and

the buttons still work, everything is fine but the glass screen in front.”

You eventually came in and your device was repaired on DEC [redacted].

Until you wrote an email on JANUARY [redacted], 2014.

“hey guys, the screen you recently replaced for my iphone 5s

fell off. It's still connected to the phone by a wire by the top. Just wanted

to know what you guys could do thanks.”

To which we replied on JANUARY [redacted], 2013

“ Without looking at the device it would be hard to say exactly

what we can do for you, however please do not try to press it down, or

anything. If possible just put in a zip lock bag and bring it here as soon as

possible. “

When you arrived to our location, a customer service

representative inspected your device and noticed this is not something that

could have easily happened and remarked to you how hard did it fall? and your

sons answer was that it slid off your bed as you have confirmed. This would be

physical damage caused by the customer, which is not covered by our

warranty.

Still knowing that the customer representative offered to the

repair the device at a reduced rate to which you declined.

While we may make every attempt at satisfying our customers, unfortunately

there are times when not much can be done.

We have repaired thousands of the devices and can confirm to you

that the device is not “virtually impossible to break”. We’ve seen devices that

have had severe damage from faintest fall, and devices that have been through

much more and have no issues at all.

If you are still interested in getting your device repaired at

the reduce rate, please contact us.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

My complaint has not been resolved because iprodigy has not taken any responsibility for the work that was originally performed. The screen became loose all on its own and not from falling off a bed to a carpeted floor, that is less than 24 inches off the floor and the phone was also in a protective case. To have me pay $190.00 is not right. My son did what they said to do in the email they sent back to him. They should of taken care of us and fixed it properly.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

While we do understand the customers concerns, please be advised under no circumstances will physical damage be covered. As per company policy we reserve the right to make a judgement based on the facts at hand. The customer openly admits to causing physical damage to the device however small it may seem to the consumer, these are electronic items therefore fragile at hand. iProdigy will make every attempt at satisfying a customers customer service issue, but again as per policy we will not take a loss to physical damage caused by the customer. This is our final reply to this complaint, if the customer wishes to get the repair done a second time at the discounted rate they may contact us to do so.
