I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me I brought the phone in last friday, October 2nd, to be fixedSo far there have been no issuesI am bringing the phone to Apple this weekend to verify that everything is ok

***!First, I would like to thank you so much for taking the time and putting forth energy in this case.I really appreciate it.Second, I wanted to update you, or perhaps, amend the resolution. I went to the apple store in fashion valley this weekend to have them take a look at the iPhone in questionThey offered me a couple of solutions.1- they would take the phone and repair the screen; cost $125. By doing so, they would be able to open the device and tell if the screen repair was mishandledThe Apple employee who helped me said that it looked like the connector cables were not properly attached and this is why I'm getting differential brightness across the screen of the phone (brighter on the top and dimmer on the bottom, as well as the phone lighting up with every finger touch)However; he also said that it appears that the battery is swelling (this is why the screen is pushing off the body of the phone)If this is the case, then I would need a new/refurbished phoneBUT, because of some sort of apple policy, they would not be able to offer me a refurbished phone for $as they normally would because the device has been damagedI would loose the $125, and then on top of that, purchase a new phone at market price (something absurd, like $700-800)A Risky maneuver.2-do not open the phone and get a replacement phone; cost $260. BUT, because they are not opening the phone I would be left with no evidence of their wrong doing.Again, I do not feel that I should pay for a phone, or phone repairThe device was perfectly operational prior to me going in to get the screen fixedI had no issues other than the screen being crackedand a few shards of the glass had fallen ofBut it was otherwise in great shape. Please let me know if there is anything I can do on my endfor I fear that the longer I wait with this phone, the more prone it is to further damage (i.escreen cracking again, or falling off completely).Thank you again for your time and care.As always,*** ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. However the statements by the business are completely untrue.Statement of Facts: Phone was never dropped. I can either assume the defect in the screen is due to low quality materials or from the installation, as there are multiple issues 1) a bend/fold in the screen 2)cloudy resolution 3) structural integrity issues near the home button that caused a fracture Multiple individuals have reported same issue on YelpI gave the company ample opportunity to investigate and correct the issue I made the company aware of the quality issues, along with photos within hours of purchase I received no response Treat your customers with respect, and they will treat you the same in return I see that my credit card has been refunded for the full amount, I will consider this complaint resolved based upon the refund

Review: I brought my iPhone in for a broken screen repair. At first, the repair looked to be ok. Over the next five days the glue holding the screen to the body of the phone was coming undone, emitting light out of the side and the screen floating above the body of the device. I also noticed that when touching the screen the light response becomes brighter to touch as well as the lighting from the top of the screen increased. By day 6 the screen had a crack. When I brought it back, with receipt, the worker told me that these issues were not under the contract/warranty, and that it only covers defects in the screen. However, my phone is now worse off than when I brought it in, wasting $92 and my time. He said there is nothing he can do and began to tell me that I dropped my phone and these were new issues, basically calling me a liar and a fabricator of the truth. I never dropped my phone since getting it repaired... I would own up to that. The quality of serve is poor as is the quality of the product. I could have spent $200 to get a refurbished phone at apple, now I have to spend more time and money to resolve this issue. If there were problems with the body of my phone, as the sales associate says, that should have been brought to my attention at the first encounter, and I would have made the decision not to fix the screen and got a new phone. I feel fleeced. This operation is a scamDesired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my money since now my phone is in worse condition from when I brought it in.

Review: On 8/26/15 I brought my iPhone 5S to iRepair to have my screen replaced as it had broken from a fall. I had read their reviews on yelp and believed this business to be trustworthy, reputable, and would deliver a quality product and service.

Upon returning home and using the device I noticed the following defects:

-Hollow sounding/feeling near the home button

-The screen had a noticeable bend line- either from manufacturing process or when they installed screen

-Cloudy or dirty resolution

Within a couple of hours of use, the area near the home button began to chip.

I emailed i-repair immediately the next day 8/27/15 requesting a refund, and attached pictures of the defects (I have copies available if required) for which I never recieved a response. When I didn’t receive a response I called them only to see that their number was disconnected. I finally went back to brick and mortar store (Fenton parkway) to see that they had closed and their remaining location was in Chula Vista. I called and requested my refund and was told that I would need to bring phone in.

Upon brining my phone in (and without investigation or inspection) they told me that the manufacturing and installation defects on my screen were physical damage caused by me and not covered by warranty!! The store owner refused to serve me without wanting to charge me more money. There was a verbal argument between us, it was clear he was unwilling to help, and refused to service me.

This is an incompetent, deceptive, dishonest and shady business. I want my money back. Furthermore, this company should be investiaged for the claims it makes on its website that it uses 100% OEM APPLE parts.Desired Settlement: Money refunded
