This company was taken a phone of mine that worked perfectly but had a cracked screen. They fixed the screen and the phone no longer works.A phone belonging to me was taken in to the store for repair on the screen by my daughter's boyfriend, [redacted]. The screen was repaired and the backing was changed from white to blue upon suggestion by the store's employee. The phone was shown to [redacted] and was in working order. My daughter's boyfriend left the store to go get cash to pay for the transaction and the employee saw that [redacted] was erasing the messages that were still on the phone. The employee offered to take the fixed and working phone and "wipe it clean" or restore it to factory settings. [redacted] left the store to go get cash to pay for the transaction and the employee said it would take less than 5 minutes to restore the phone. Upon returning to the store to pay for the transaction, the employee said that they "encountered a problem" and asked him to leave the phone overnight. The phone has now been there for two days, is no longer working, and the store is basically saying oh well, they have no liability. They have offered to put the broken screen back on the phone and refund [redacted]'s money, which would then leave me with a broken screen and a broken phone, but that is worse than when the phone was taken to the store. The phone was perfectly fine, and in working condition when they were given the phone to fix the screen. I want the phone as it was promised, with a fixed screen and in working order. They have refused to show any paperwork with any signature on it that would release them from any liability, they said that even if it was my signature, which they do not have, or [redacted]'s signature, which they also do not have, that it is for their records and they "don't have to show me nothing". They plugged a good working phone in to their computer and that was when the problem occurred. I want them to either fix the phone or provide me with a new one that is in good working condition, and I feel they should refund the money paid to fix the screen for the trouble that I have had to go through in order to get them to do what they should do, what is right, and return to me a good condition working [redacted]. It is ridiculous that I am having to go through these steps to have iRepair do the very job that they advertise as their business. Desired SettlementI want the money paid to fix the phone refunded. I took my iPhone 5S in for repair. When they called to tell me it was ready, I said I'd be in that day and asked when they closed. They said they would be there until 6:00pm. I arrived at 5:45pm, and the shop was locked up tight. I knocked and called, but there was no answer. I left a message asking them to call me and never received a return call. I called back the next day, left another message, and still got no return call. After calling two more times with no answer, I finally went to the store. The door was locked and there was a sign on the door saying they were closed for lunch. It was after 2:00pm. I decided to wait, and as I was waiting, someone exited the store, so I went in as he left. The price I was quoted to fix the phone had increased overnight by $20, and the phone still wasn't functioning. He told me it was not the screen (which is the part they fixed) that was still messed up, and they couldn't fix the part that was messed up, because he needed a code to reset the phone and only his manager had the code. When I went home to try to restore the phone with my computer, the display got stuck in zoom. I returned to the store, and the technician took the phone in the back and got it out of zoom mode, assuring me it was fixed. By the time I got to my car, the keypad had frozen once again. I returned to the store. They finally agreed to refund my money and put the original part back on my phone. I made an appointment with the apple store, who inspected the phone and told me that it had a third party screen on it and so they couldn't work on it. Obviously, iRepear didn't return the original screen to the phone, and now I can't even get it serviced elsewhere. I'll be contacting the store again tomorrow, but I don't have high hopes that anything will be resolved.","neg-1

Fully functioning cell phone with broken screen was taken to iRepear to have screen replaced. Upon first visit, screen was not repaired but replaced with another malfunctioning screen.
