This job was done to the satisfaction of the customer She showed no displeasure with the finished product at allIt was a resurface and repair on an existing drive-way and we did exactly that She wanted a repair job to look like a freshly poured driveway and we explained to her in the beginning that that would not be the case and because of the price for a new drive-way she agreed to the resurface and repair The issue didn't come until it was time to pay the remaining balance on the account Te customer insisted we go down on the price previously agreed upon and when we didn't she declined paying and threatened to call the police We told her to call them but they never came and she said she wasn't not payingWe took it as a lost and left the property

At this time I believe there is in no way to agree on this situation. I do not have a [redacted] that works here I have a secretary. Since this has been back and forth for well over a year there have been no changes in this matter. We use the same materials in all our jobs. There can never be a dead certain guarantee when we can not predict unforeseen changes in the ground, the weather, and the actions of the persons around the area fixed after so much time has lapsed.   Thank you and Regards

I went to do the job; the homeowner went behind my back and tried to hire my crew to work for him. I was disappointed and fired my good crew due to this. He still owes me $4,000.00 for...

the job. My lawyer is currently handling this situation;I plan on putting a lien on his house and to take him to court for what is owed to me. You cannot please everyone and overall my ratings for [redacted] are great and the majority are pleased with my work. My attorneys would have pursued more, but I was out of the country due to a death in the family. His response is an exaggeration of lies I used my best workers to finish the job. He owe's me $4,000 still and he caused mutiny to my crew. His unprofessional-ism is what caused me to let go of some of my staff.

We at Irish construction never intends to have dissatisfied customers.  It is our job to do what the customer asks us to do.  Although no resurfacing project is 100%, we do our best to assure the customers' satisfaction.  We went out to this job several times to try our best to satisfy the customer.  Like all services and companies the customer has a choice on who to hire.  If our price was an issue we (Irish Construction) should have never been hired.  All estimates are free and we allow customers to shop around before choosing us to help them with their construction needs.  We sincerely apologize that Mrs. [redacted] is still not satisfied, but at this point we can no longer do anything to ease her dis pleasure with the work we have provided.  We have used three times the material on this job, we have used three times the labor on this job, and we've not only went above and beyond to gain her satisfaction and good faith but at this time we have no other options.  We will check on the job in a week or so and move forward from there.  Thanks so much for choosing Irish Construction!

I am rejecting this response because:1) Fact:original work was performed late 2015 and calls were made early 2016 describing the failure of the repair. Company was contacted multiple times by email ( with photos) and by phone. Company said they were coming out to look at and repair problems but NEVER came. 2) We were told that work performed would last for around 10 years. 3) Company recently stated that they would be out to see and repair the work and again never came. 3) After I sent a certified letter in March, the owner responded that the materials he used carried a 10 year guarantee and that he would be coming out to correct the problem sometime soon.4) Since receiving this notification from the Revdex.com the company has still not made any attempt to contact me or to evaluate the situation. They have not responded to a message I left with someone in their office 48 hours ago (left with someone named "[redacted]") asking for the owner ([redacted]) to give me a call to discuss.Despite the company's statement that customer satisfaction is para mount (and they state this on their web site and on the receipt we received following payment back in 2015), they have intentionally ignored our complaints and attempts to get a response.
There always seems to be an excuse but  this company has repeatedly acted in an unprofessional and irresponsible manner.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The re-do of the job was a slightly better result than before but still not the quality to merit the price I was charged - and it remains to be seen as to how well it will hold up over time in relation to the promises that were made.  If I had paid a reasonable and fair amount for the type of job that was done I would have no complaint, but I feel that I was grossly overcharged and made false promises.  I have consulted with several other contractors that do this type of work and all were in agreement with me.  I will not be satisfied unless I receive a refund of at least half of what I paid!  This opinion is based on the actual cost of the materials used and the fact that the owner initially did the job himself - not having to pay anyone else (and a very poor job at that!) and the opinions of the other contractors.  Even half of what I paid is too much - but I would be satisfied to have this matter over with.  I would also hope that in the future this company would not overcharge anyone else.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

months. I stayed a lot long er then I planned and I was really behind on work relating to my company. I did return to the costumers residence to fix the issue. I placed cones on the driveway so the home owner new not to drive on the driveway. My request was not granted he drove onto the driveway anyway. That is why there are cracks that have appeared on the sight. It was suppose to be left to sit for 24 hours and that was not the case. I do plan on getting out to his residence to fix hat I need to fix. I am finally catching up on ,work and my living situation is no longer in a chaotic state. I do apologize for the customer feeling that way and I will get out there to fix what needs to be done.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (1500, 6, 2015/06/03) */
[redacted]Document Attached[redacted]
The response is inaccurate and misleading. As mentioned in my original complaint, I contacted the vendor's office in the fall to register complaints, recognizing that the concrete work would need to wait until spring.
In early spring I called again, and was assured I was "on the list." When I didn't hear back for a while, I called again, and was told about the death in the family, that the owner was just back and would be in touch soon. I said I understood and would wait to hear. When another month or so went by, I called again. At each call, I made clear that I wanted to meet with the owner to discuss all of the various problems with the work, and that I wanted to have that conversation before they came to do anything. Each time I was told he would call, though he never did.
Then they came to "fix" the one most glaring issue, without any notice or conversation. The vendor blames that problem on us, though that too is inaccurate. That involved re-pouring a section they had "fixed" once before, but each time it gets worse. It was originally one small crack, then the "fix" of the crack failed, so they tore out that section and repoured it, creating another crack nearby. The problem keeps growing rather than getting fixed. When they poured it, we stayed off it for a couple days, though we were never told to do so (simply found the trash can blocking the driveway one day and assumed we should do so). Nonetheless, that section completely crumbled over the winter. When they did come to "fix" that today, they did so without any advance notice or discussion of our concerns, and it had the craftsmanship as though I'd done it myself.
They still have not called to discuss the numerous other problems that continue to exist.
Most of the joints they attempted to seal have failed miserably, and those that haven't failed entirely look awful. Many of the cracks in concrete for which we originally hired them have recracked in the exact same places, so they look worse for having a messy overlay, but are still cracked. I sympathize about the man's mother's death, and have been patient about that, but his response merely uses that as an excuse. He has made no attempt to even discuss the issues, and it's been at least 9 months now, many before and several after that happened. The office manager with whom I have spoken many times will attest to the fact that I have been patient but very clear about wanting to meet with him to discuss the problems.
Photos of failing work attached.

I have went back to the residence to fix the stuff he asked. And now apparently there is more and this guy is calling the better business like a child would use his mom to try and intimidate me. The first time he drove his vehicle over what I had fixed when I told him not to. I will schedule a day to get out to his residence and fix the work. I have already been out a few times and will make one last attempt to fix the work. If he needs me to be there I will schedule a time and day to get out there in the next week.
