Monday 8/28/17Dear representative of Revdex.com,Im writing a response letter in regard to complaint ID number *** customer *** ***.Ms*** brought her motorcycle to my shop after she had let it sit out side for years as it was not runningI agreed to take it in and take a look at it which I did after I did my initial inspection im determined that Ms*** would need to have her carburetor completely cleaned out as well as her gas tank as they were clogged up with old gas that had turned into gelAfter I had cleaned out the fuel system I started to inspect her electrical system and when I tested her battery it read that it was no good so I installed a new batter that I ordered from *** *** *** as well as new spark plugsAfter all that work I tested her ignition system which showed me that she was not getting and voltage from her regulatorI informed *** that she would need to replace her regulator as it was no goodShe gave me the okay to go ahead and replace it I finally found one on ebay for a $as for finding parts for her bike is extremely hardWhile I waiting for the part to come she called me and asked if I would replace her tires as she had found some online and brought them to meWhen I change out tires for customers I always recycle them unless otherwise notified by the customer if they would like to keep them *** never once told me to keep or even asked about them until she picked up her bikeThe tires were recycled and picked up by a companyAs for her old tires the were extremely weathered and cracking which wouldn’t have been safe to ride on as it wasAfter the new regulator showed up I tested it and put it in the bikeI tried to fire up the bike and it would turn over but no spark was still presentI called and informed *** of the situation and told her that I would have through the entire electrical system and see were the dead spot isI told her I would be happy to do this for her but it would need to be in-between other scheduled bikes and she agreed that would be fine and she paid the shop for the current work that was performedI ran more test on her bike for her I did a compression test which indicated that she would need to replace her pistons and rings I also spent another hrs going through her electrical system*** still has a outstanding balance with the shop for work performed but she refused to pay because of her tiresThe balance remaining is $which I would forgo to help resolve the tire issueAlso I would be happy to pay for the new coil if that would help *** outThank you for you time
