Review: I have been trying for over 2 months to get my boxes out of this storage company and transferred to another company. This company was to have destroyed by old boxes throughout the 10 years I was doing business with them. They never did, nor did they notify me about destruction. Since this I have entered the information they wanted, paid in advance for the pulling and wrapping of my boxes to have ready for transfer to another company. They still have not given me a date when I can have my storage boxes picked up. I had to pay them for pulling and for wrapping boxes, over $1100 to get this far. I refuse to pay another month for storage since I began this process at the end of July. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered from a company. Please help.Desired Settlement: I want this done so I can get my information out of their site. Why the double charge to do this? refund on one of them would be nice, or at least no charge for storage for the month of September since they can't get their act together. We are talking about 264 boxes total.

Review: Hi - my predecessor in the company signed a contract with Iron Mountain in 2003. We file our medical files with them. We request on a monthly basis files to be removed & our charged a file withdrawal fee. They charge more for taking out a file than taking out an entire box. We were never informed of this or we would have removed the box for a cheaper price. In essence, they are charging us each time a file is removed from a box and even if all the files were removed, we would have paid many times over when we could have had one charge to remove. Now we want to remove our inventory & they are charging us again to remove the entire box (which is possibly empty)from the shelf & in addition they are charging another permanent withdrawal fee for the entire box. We think Iron Moutain has not been clear with the terms of a contract and we never had to resign any contract on a yearly basis - we did not even know the contract existed. They say that they sent us annual price lists (which increased every year) - but they were sending it to someone in the company that was no longer employed & they never checked up on it. In addition, the price lists we now recieved list fees that include retrieval and permanent withdrawal as two separate line items. It is not clear that when you permanently withdraw your inventory they will charge you both the retrieval and permanent withdrawal. That is taking advantage of the customer and highway robbery! Now they are charging an exorbitant fee just to remove our inventory! We are paying it now because we do not want to get charged another monthly fee while we argue about this, but we would like the money back for at least one of the fees, especially since we already paid over the years lots of retrieval fees. We also had gotten a preliminary quote which had a different figure for the amount of the retrieval vs. the permanent withdrawal. But in the final quote they increased both numbers to be the same & won't discuss it with us.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of the Retrieval fees. We do not want to pay for something we have already paid for over the years. In addition, the price lists were not clear that we would be charged both fees upon withdrawing our inventory. We are being charged $2,468.56 to retrieve boxes (many of which may even be empty!) and then an additional $3,738.72 to permanently withdraw the boxes! We tried to discuss this with the company but they are insisting they are correct.
