Iron Movers Reviews (%countItem)

I hired Iron Movers for a recent move and was extremely satisfied with how hard they worked. When I went back to my previous apartment to clean, I noticed all of the damage in the unit from scraped floor where a dog kennel was clearly dragged, to chip walls and dents. I raised this to "Vlad", including many pictures of the damage, the man who scheduled my move who told me he'd talk to the movers and get back to me. After days passed with zero contact I reached out and said I'd post a review online. He then called me and tried to tell me that it wasn't his movers fault and that my fiancé and I picked up a piece of furniture so there's no line drawn on who did the damage.

The damage was no only in my family room but also in my bedroom which my fiancé and I did not touch. Additionally, after I told "Vlad" I didn't want a 10% discount because it equated to roughly $50 and it's ridiculous I would have my security deposit hit but him not offer a better solution, he mentioned that his real name is actually Nick and he was one of the movers that day.

Not only did he lie about his identity, he also blurred the lines between representing the company and being an employee of the company. I believe the reason he didn't want me to post anything is because he was trying to save his own reputation since he apparently was both the owner and the mover.

Lastly, he said that he could send a repair company to look at the damages and try to fix it but the company never showed up. Overall, Iron Movers is a scam of a company with people lying about identity, damaging homes with zero consequences and should not be in business. My final remark is that they also required cash which clearly shows they're doing this under the table for a reason. They should be investigated and shut down as a couple as they are clearly working under the table and are damaging homes in the meantime.

Hi, my name is Vlad and I am the owner of the company. We were tying to resolve this situation, but customer clearly just trying to make money from our company. The next day after the move was completed she called us and said that there is a damage on her floor, I asked her to provide pictures of the damage and she sent me a pictures saying that she already took care of all the scratches and painted them over. On the pictures yo can clearly see that the scratches doesnt look fresh. We did an amazing job for her moving everything really fast and careful, she was satisfied in the end of the move and did not have any issues that day.

Here is the info how the claim process works:

Any damage claims must be submitted in writing to our claims department. Applicable notes about these damages must be made in writing on the bill of lading on the day of your move before movers leave your premises. Our company standards do assume a full inspection of furniture by both our movers and customers, however the final inspection is the responsibility of the customer. Unless payment is made in full as is due we are not required to answer or process a claim. Do not assume you may deduct the money from the final bill to compensate yourself in the event of damage. This is ILLEGAL.

Customer Response • Mar 10, 2020

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because firstly “Vlad” who claims he is the owner of the company admitted on the phone that his real name is Nick and he was “one of the movers that day.” There he not only is lying to customers about who he is and playing two roles in the company but also is blurring the lines between the customer and saving his own face. Secondly, never did I receive any of the paperwork I repeatedly asked for prior to the company doing the work but given time was of the essence with the upcoming move I had to move forward. So I therefore had no way to know the process of submitting a claim for damages since the paperwork wasn’t received. As soon as I returned to my previous apartment, I called “Vlad” in a panic about the damage. I began fixing it to the best of my ability but could still see all the damage. I also sent him the pictures and he told me he’d “talk to the movers who helped that day and get back to me.” Over three days later, I heard nothing so I called him back. It wasn’t until I refused him doing nothing with the pictures and damages did he say he was one of the movers and he therefore “knew that none of the damage was from them.”

Thirdly, “Vlad” then said he’d be willing to give me a 10% discount which I refused. The final offer was to have a repair company review the damages and make repairs. We made an appointment for Friday, February 21 and the company never showed. At that point, I decided to report the company after the damages my apartment had from this non reputable company (that by the way required cash and wouldn’t take credit card which is also sketchy), the “owner” told me he was actually named Nick *** and was one of the movers that day which again blurs the lines between customer and business claims and finally “Vlad” confirmed that a repair company would come to my apartment Friday, February 21 but they didn’t come.

At this point, I don’t care for their money. All I want is this business to not be allowed to continue working as they are. They’re lying to individuals about their identity, requesting cash only, not sending contracts to customers and damaging customers homes. I’m happy to discuss this live with the Revdex.com as I’m passionate about my awful experience and don’t want anyone else to ever deal with this like I did.

Sincerely,

Kaitlin
