April 30, This letter is being written in response to Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] from [redacted] *** Our original response is attached here and has not been recognized by the Revdex.com While Mr [redacted] did not have an accepted contract previously at the time of the original complaint, we did enter into one with him on 3/20/He has since been sent his stamped engineer drawingsHis delivery date is for May I have requested that he email you to confirm Cordially, [redacted] Customer Service March 17, This letter is being written in response to Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] from [redacted] *** There are two critical facts that have not been stated correctly in Mr***’s complaintThe first is that while he did sign the purchase order, it is not a legally binding contract until it is reviewed and accepted by an authorized officer of the companyCertain states allow for an “offer to purchase” to be legally binding once a deposit check has been cashed by the companyThis purchase order has never been accepted and as Mr [redacted] is aware, his check was not cashed The purchase order clearly states on the face: “The representative of the seller preparing this purchase order is not an officer of the seller and not authorized to accept this order for the buyerUpon receipt of this order at the home office of the seller, if the order is accepted, the “Acceptance” copy hereto will be returned to the buyer duly signed by an officer of the seller, or if not accepted the deposit above shall be returned to the buyer.” The review of purchase orders submitted by company representatives prior to acceptance has historically served to protect the consumer/buyerWhile the customer is responsible for determining their snow load requirements and whether the building is suitable for their application, the review often catches potential problems for themThe review also allows us to catch any mistakes in pricing, design proposed or location and size of openingsNormally this review is done within 1-days of receipt of the purchase order and is in addition to the review performed before it is even sent to the customer Unfortunately, the customer was not immediately notified the order could not be acceptedThis happened due to a rare combination o f bad weather and some of the shut downs and back log that resultedMr***’s check was never processed, as company rules require the order to be reviewed again as stated above Once we became aware o f the situation, we knew Mr [redacted] was not happy and offered to refer him to another company that would sell him a building for around the same priceThis offer was extended as it seemed the customer would never be happy because of the delay in reviewing his orderIt was not offered because another company would supply it cheaper than Ironbuilt (this was the second fact misstated by Mr***)Mr [redacted] then stated he would rather stick with Ironbuilt because he knew of our reputationAt that point the owner of the company got involved and was determined to find the best solution A solution was found that we believed would really work and get Mr [redacted] the building he wanted at close to the same priceWhen he was called to get it set up, he stated don’t worry about it, I have it handled with some other peopleWe took that to mean he had found another company and the matter was resolvedHe did not disclose he had sent a complaint to the Revdex.com at that time About a week later he called and said he wanted to know what was happening with his orderHe also disclosed he filed with the Revdex.com Ironbuilt Steel Buildings employees always strive for 100% customer satisfactionThey are trained to do whatever is required to make the purchase and construction process simple and trouble freeMr ***’s complaint would have been solved sooner, but he basically sent us away implying the situation was resolved through others Cordially, [redacted] Customer Service

I was terrified at the thought of sending thousands of dollars to Ironbuilt Steel Buildings before I saw the actual building The building I received was top topnotch quality The overhead door was below average I would order a better door next time If you order it with insulation be prepared to store it indoors or have a tarp ready and on site I put mine in my garage until the builder was ready for it I wish I would have put the overhead door in as well It turned yellow and gross on the inside panels I ended up peeling the paper liner off and replacing it with fiberglass sheeting from Menards I cut each piece out with a tin snip
Overall, I was extremely happy with the building The overhead door was ok at best The yellowing was my fault for not tarping it So, if you need a building, I believe this company is very solid

The Ironbuilt installation crew were not what I would call professionals - in any fashionThe bldgassywas eventually completed - about a week lateThe trim piece for sealing the bottom of the wall (that Ironbuilt touts as a big advantage over their competition) would not fit - leaving an access point for bugsTheir description says inch of overhang is needed to fit - the concrete pour job provided inches of clearanceI emailed about this issue but never received a replyThe bldgis usable but I can not recommend the company

This letter is being written in response to Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] from [redacted].
There are two critical facts that have not been stated correctly in Mr. [redacted]’s complaint. The first is that

by an authorized officer of the company. Certain states allow for an “offer to purchase” to be legally
binding once a deposit check has been cashed by the company. This purchase order has never been
accepted and as Mr. [redacted] is aware, his check was not cashed.

Review: I have made a purchase from Ironbuilt steel buildings on 2/8/2014, on this day I signed a legal binding contract for the purchase of a 30 by 40 by 16 foot tall insulated steel building. This was supposed to be a clearance special building which was fine. Paul booth emailed me all the paperwork which I signed and emailed to him along with a check for a deposit in the amount of $3980.00. Once I sent in the documentation I heard nothing else from the company. I tried to reach mr booth several times to find out when the prints would be here for the building along with a scheduled delivery date. I finally got in contact with his supervisor on 2/28/14. He stated that they had sold me a building without first checking the steel to ensure that thhe load rating was that of which I had purchased. He then told me that he would refer me to his competitors who would give me an honest deal since he could no longer help me because the price would be higher than I would be willing to pay after he made the corrections. He stated that he would destroy the check upon my approval which I have not agreed to. I have already taken out a loan for this building which I must pay back with interest in the amount of $16000.00. I have also did irreversible excavation to my property for this building. The resolution for this I feel is simple. I only want what I purchased. I feel as if it is not my fault that they sold me a building before they even knew what they had in stock. If needed a I can email you all of the signed contract along with a copy of the check that I wrote to them.Desired Settlement: I would like for the company to manufacture the designed building that we agreed upon on and deliver the building in a timely organized fashion. I would also like for the prints to be released on this in an urgent timeframe SO I can start on the concrete foundation for this.
