We were given a flat rate quote of $to move two pieces of furniture from my dad's house to our houseWhen it came time to pay, things got weirdI asked if a check was ok and the guy stumbled over his words and said that the "machine was down" and asked if I could pay cashNot sure what machine is needed for a check...so that was an odd statement and made me uncomfortableLuckily I had cash, but it was 2-$bills and the cost was $The person took the money and never offered to provide change or that the office would said the remaining money owed back to usI also asked for a receipt, which couldn't be providedAgain the person stumbled over their words and said he would talk to his boss about sending something overI am very thankful that the furniture arrived to our home safely and the three men that moved the furniture were very friendlyHowever, I am very uncomfortable with several of the things that occurred during the process especially when it came to paymentI
I moved over the weekend (June 9, 2017) and I hired Ironstar Transport LLC from *** ** to move my stuffWell they completely damaged my bed and I have before and after pictures to prove it The mover that broke the bed asked me about paying with cash and I told him that I would be paying with a check because the owner said to pay with a check, money order, or cash He also said he had a friend that was going to come and fix the bedI THINK NOT!!!! He was completely unprofessional in every way He sent my daughter to the store to buy him *** He also tried to tell me that they made a mistake on the price and that I had more than what was said (which I didn't...I had less) I had the conversation on my phone between his boss and me that showed what was said and what was going to be moved He then told me that it wasn't my fault that that he would "take care of me" I had sent Keith I*** (owner) pictures of the stuff that I needed moved The owner has not charge
We hired movers to move our belongings to our new home on June 29thThe movers were polite, courteous and ready to work, however, they did not use the proper equipment that were included in our costs and damaged some items along with our interior wallsOur costs included movers, a moving truck, moving pads, and dolliesThe moving pads were not used resulting in our kitchen table, our shoe cabinet, our bed frame, our dressers, and pantry type cabinets being damagedAlso the walls going upstairs have damage to them
Company stated a price for the entire move then changed to the cost was per load, said it was to state one price and then get moreEven though I had the agreement terms in textThreatened to take my stuff that was in the truck and then told his guys to just drop my stuff off on the pavement after we agreed to a price and I paid themProceed at your own risk
