The patient came into urgent care at 2:30 pm, signed in and was given paperwork to complete. Patient did not notify fron desk of any pain symptoms and the patient did not appear to be in distress. Patient completed paperwork and was asked to...

pay his $15.00 co-pay. Patient was brought to the back at 2:52 pm, vitals were taken and he was placed in a room. Vitals were normal. Provider [redacted], NP saw the patient at 3:07 pm. Patient explained symptoms to Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] felt it was of benefit for the patient to be referred to the ER for further examination and the ER was better equipped to handle such a case. An ambulance was offered to the patient,which was quickly declined. Patient was given appropriate instruction. We are a busy urgent care, Ms. [redacted] is pleasant with all patients and staff. The patient left quickly for home. We are happy to refund his co-pay. The patient apprared happy with the referral and did not seem upset or aggravated.

I would like my $15 co-pay refunded. As for what happened: My insurance Blue Shield called Ironstone Medical to let them know I will be coming in for chest pain, they also faxed my insurance info to Ironstone. I showed up and told the receptionist of my chest pain and she confirmed receiving the call and fax from my insurance. She had me fill out some paperwork. After over 1 hour I was finally taken in to have my vitals done. Almost 30 minutes later In FINALLY saw the "Doctor", now knowing is was [redacted], NP. She was RUDE to me and her staff. She did not examine me, did not touch me, just told me to go to the E.R. I asked if she can give me something in writing for the E.R., she said NO. I was NOT happy, I was in pain and frustrated. I did ask "why was I waiting for so long for chest pain", [redacted], NP told me not to argue with her and go to the E.R., I did NOT leave to my home. I left to the E.R., the E.R. did ask if I had a note from urgent care, I told them urgent care refused to give me a note. Someone should talk to [redacted], NP about her manners and we are all human like her and need to be treated with respect.
