Student # [redacted] Before the student and his company signed up they spoke to the instructor about the devices we train onWe are a traveling training school and have a huge inventoryWhen traveling to off site locations we take what is needed for the class and NUMBER of students attending The two devices the student asked for were on the stand holding devicesThere are devices total that any backflow tester needs to know in order to pass any certifications We do have devices but thirty were not needed for one studentThe student requested more devices to test on and that is when the instructor returned to our office to retrieve even moreInstructor told the student to complete a question quiz and to continue practicing on the devices while he went back to the office per student requestThe test takes approxhours for students to completeThe You tube videos were only a recommendation for student to use for additional help in the future when studying for his recertification testingIt was in NO way a teaching substitute When the instructor returned the student had not completed half of the testThey then went over the quiz During the testing hands on phase the student was having difficulty remembering proceduresInstructor told him to slow down and take his time in order not to miss steps and make mistakesBackflow testing has very specific steps you must do or you fail the examInstuctor was trying to tell student this, however student told instructor he "got it"He was shakey and appeared to not feel goodStudent told instructor he had Red bull drinks and that was something he didn't normally do Instructor bought student lunch After lunch Instructor said lets continue with testing at which time the student said I am tired and don't feel good and I am leaving The instructor remained until 4:for the other teacher to complete classes The Office manager spoke to the office manger of the studentShe was rather rude and insultive as to what had taken place at the classIrrigator Tech manager then spoke to the student on the phoneThe student and Irrigator Tech office manager had a minute conversation on where to apply for testing and that our policy allows any students to return for class if they further testing or instructional helpHe was made aware of dates and locationsHe was given the cell phone number for the instructor so that he could call and discuss what he needed further The student apologized for the way their office manager handled the first call They both had an understanding of the student would be calling the instructor and he would be coming to another class for more support We had another teacher in the class location that day who saw the events of the backflow class [redacted] was not at the class that day We will refund the Membership fee $to the company as that was a way for them to receive lower cost for the class and any further classes student may take Irrigator Tech does these classes one weekly over a hundred a year and has never had a student with an issue

We do have 30 devices but thirty were not needed for one student. The student requested more devices to test on and that is when the instructor returned to our office to retrieve even more. Instructor told the student to complete a 150 question quiz and to continue practicing on the devices while he went back to the office per student request. The test takes approx. 2 hours for students to complete. The You tube videos were only a recommendation for student to use for additional help in the future when studying for his recertification testing. It was in NO way a teaching substitute.

The student and Irrigator Tech office manager had a 20 minute conversation on where to apply for testing and that our policy allows any students to return for class if they further testing or instructional help. He was made aware of dates and locations. He was given the cell phone number for the instructor so that he could call and discuss what he needed further.
