Ms. [redacted] was a guest at the Optimum Health Institute (OHI) from her arrival date of July 2, 2017 until her departure on July 9, 2017.   She notified us on July 4th that she had been bitten by something in her room.   After inspecting the room and unable to identify...

the source of the marks on her body, [redacted] was upgraded and moved to a premium room.  We also purchased several medications from the local drug store to assist her with the itching caused by the marks.   [redacted] stayed the entire week and departed at the regular departure time.   We suspect [redacted]’s condition was caused during the detox process and instead of bug bites as she suggested; they were rather the result of a rash.  We had a well-known pest control service inspect [redacted]’s initial room and concluded and certified, there were no bed bugs present in her guest room .   Also, the length of time required for [redacted] to heal seemed to suggest she was dealing with some internal factors.   Regarding Ms. [redacted] tuition costs, she was given a $350.00 tuition reduction while receiving a $380.00 room upgrade to a premium room in an attempt to fairly compensate her.  Her tuition rate after receiving a discount was $1,095.00, which doesn’t include the room upgrade she received.  Ms. [redacted] was also offered a substantial rate reduction if she would like to attend our program when she feels better.   To put this issue into perspective, we have over five thousand people a year stay for a combined total of seven thousand weeks a year at our facilities and we have always been able to resolve these matters in a fair and reasonable manner.  As a principle centered faith based organization, we have a long history of going above and beyond expectations in order to satisfy our guests and adherents.  In this particular case, we have been more than fair in our attempt to resolve this matter.     Please feel free to contact me regarding this matter at ([redacted]. Sincerely,  [redacted]PresidentOptimum Health Institute
