Irwin Lincoln Mercury Reviews (1)

Review: I've now purchased two vehicles at Irwin Lincoln/Mazda, and though my purchase experience has been good, the repair experience has been horrible. Previously I had taken my Mazda and purchased new brakes and rotors. The car had 70,000 miles. When it left the shop, car had a vibration, slowly increasing into unsuitable driving conditions. When I took the car for inspection, apparently my shocks had gone bad. This was so sudden, I was very suspicious. I had no choice to get them replaced as they were dangerously bad, but I got them replaced elsewhere. The mechanic was surprised this could happen on a light car at this mileage. On the 2nd car I purchased from them, a Lincoln MKZ, I needed tires. So I purchased 4 Pirelli's from tirerack.com and took them to Quick Lane for mounting and balancing. A total cost of about $80 which was OK. This experience basically substantiated what I felt before about this company - they sabotage parts to gain additional business. Along with mounting and balancing I also asked for basic check up of the car while the wheels are off. So after I get the tires mounted and balanced, the car immediately started vibrating and making excessive helicopter noise. I called them right away and took the car back. What did they say? YOUR TIRES ARE BAD. BUY NEW ONES FROM US. I said this is unlikely and fought them. They took the car up again and said they found the problem and "fixed it", only to find out the car still shakes. Two days later a very loud "helicopter noise started." I took the car to another place all together and they found my tpms sensor broken and floating inside the tire. Along with the sensor were ZIP TIES, which must have been used to hold sensor down. They must have broken the sensor all together which created the first noise. So now my TPMS sensors don't work and I had the tires re mounted and balanced (which are working perfectly fine at the moment.)Desired Settlement: Refund of initial mounting and balancing costs + cost of tpms sensors' parts and labor. I will have another shop put them on.
