As soon as I send this e-mail to you, I will be on the way to the post office to mail you our response and the documents related to our complaint. After talking with you on the phone (2nd week of February), my husband and I decided to wait to see what the response would be from the 2nd contractor (Mr. [redacted] ) before sending in our documentation and response to Mr. [redacted] response ( [redacted] ) regarding our complaint. We received a note from your agency last week letting us know that the 2nd contractor never made an effort to return the call from your employee who talked with him but was told he was too busy to have a conversation with your employee regarding our complaint. He told your employee that he would call back, but never did. Upon receiving this mailing from our postal system, please let me know that you have received it. Thank you. It was a big misunderstanding with the contract. All the money was practically gone before the job was halfway through. We spent almost all the money on the job. I don't work anymore because I have back problems. There is no money left to pay them. The city requires 4 inches of concrete, which...

costs $1xx a yard. They wanted 6 inches of concrete, which is almost pouring the job twice. We tried to show them we couldn't do it. The money was gone. We have the receipts for everything we did. We can show where the money went, but we have no money to give them because it was all spent on the job. They wouldn't understand this when we told them. They were unreasonable and called us crooks and thieves. We didn't only take the whole driveway out and put rock in there, but we did extra work that wasn't even in the contract. Whoever finished the job didn't have to do anything but pour concrete. We did much more than we were expected to do. I even had an inspector go and try to explain this to them, and they didn't want to listen. We were going to pour the back part with 6 inches but we didn't even have enough to do that. They even once told us it was too hot to pour concrete, which doesn't happen. We have all the receipts for every penny spent.
