I placed order a *** 4xtoners package from islandinkjet.com with a listed price showing $0. The Order went through successfully with shipping charge and tax added on it. I complete the order online by making the payment through ***. They emailed me saying the order approved, processed and advised me the shipping waiting time as well. I checked my *** and the payment transfer is also completed. I assumed the company is agreed to sale the item at the posted price in their web store. Therefore a selling/buying contract should already established and in place.

Today I received another email from the company saying the item is not intended for sale and cancel the purchase without my consent. I think the company make some mistake in their web store and now just cancel the paid order from their side.

Does this person really believe that he is entitled to receive something for free & to take advantage of others?

A technical error caused multiple products to be displayed a) on our website and b) at a price of $0. The products themselves are not items Island Ink-Jet stocks, sells, or has ever sold.

Upon learning of the technical error, the error was rectified and all affected web listings were deactivated as they had been previously.

This customer attempted to take advantage of what was clearly a website error and placed an order for a $0 product we do not actually sell. The customer was advised of the technical error immediately thereafter and *** reversed the funds transfer within hours of the original transaction.

Our terms and conditions (Pricing Section + Order Acceptance & Billing) are very clear that orders for items that have pricing errors (such as $0) or technical errors such as this do not constitute an order.

it is ridiculous for the Island Ink Jet saying they put up some product in their online store that they cannot and does not ever sell. That's not a honest business should be doing.

In the shopping season since the Black Friday till Christmas, a lot of online shopping sites having their product on sales on on promotion. Some major online shopping sites (e.g. ***) having promotion product on sale at $0.01 even with free shipping to overseas and they really treat the business seriously and ship the product as promised in the order.

As the Island Ink Jet already know they won't sell item with $0, they should have solution in place not to have order put through for these. For major retailers (e.g. ***) and some brand name online shopping site (e.g. ***), they will remove product or rectify the error pricing in order to prevent further incorrect orders but they will honor the orders already placed before their rectification action.

I don't have much expectation on Island Ink Jet to perform like a serious major business if they don't want to be a major business. We just want to feedback the disappointment on the way they handle their own errors and their attitude towards their customers.
