These folks are dishonest and do not respond to their customers but are happy to take their money. I send my computer to them in January. In April I heard that they'd had a break-in and that my computer was stolen. They promised to replace it. It is not September and not only do I not have a computer, they refuse to return my phone calls or emails. This is beyond threatening. I strongly encourage people to avoid this company like the plague.

Review: My macbook air was recieved by ispillrepair on March 11 and I paid the total charge of the repair ($479) of my water damaged Macbook Air on March 12, 2015. I was aware of the disclaimer on the bottom of the receipt that read : "* Please note that we cannot guarantee repair times - repairs require testing, and time, to determine that the issues are

completely resolved. If your Mac requires component level logic board repair and/or other more intricate repairs it may

take 14-28 business days, or longer, to repair. We do not guarantee repair times for any repair" but I was quoted that my repair would take 7-14 business days from the time of payment, so I waited first for the 7 days that I was quoted and met with a response that they would let me know as soon as my laptop was in final testing. Following that, I waited again until the 15th business day, and considering that I hadn't heard about final testing, I figured something was wrong so I emailed another quick note about the status of the repair and I was met with nothing. On April 10th, I received a call from a representative at ispillrepair detailing that their facility was broken into, but my laptop wasn't harmed, and I would receive a call from a technician in 1-2 days on the status of my laptop. This promise wasn't kept and since then I replied via email hoping for an answer. I then began to call their offices on April 20th, and was at first met with the polite promise that I would get an email by the end of the day. This email read " We are currently working through some display issues which were found during Final Testing and will reach out to you when those are resolved." This was surprising because I received no update that my device was in final testing even though it was stated that I would get one. The week of the 31st business day, I called once a day trying to get through about what was up with my laptop. My first time getting through, I was told that it was "probably boxed up" and they would let me know by the end of the day. Then when I got no message that day I called back and a different technician told me that I would get an email when it was ready, but when I asked what part of the process it was in, he just repeated that I would get an email from fedex and ispillrepair when it was ready. The next day I called, I was rudely interrupted when I gave my name and the technician on the phone said that I "call 3 times a day" and "I don't know what to tell you" This was the last straw for me due to the fact that I cant even be told where my laptop is at this point so I researched and saw that this poor customer service is a practice for ispillrepair, who changed their name from the mac boutique, and I decided to contact the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I would just like a concrete answer of the status of my laptop and for the repair and shipment to be completed expeditiously.

Regards,

Review: I spilled coffee on my laptop, and sought out ispillrepair because they specialize in this kind of computer damage. Their website promises an average turn around of 7-14 days. I mailed them my computer on February 12. It is now April 16, and I have had no update from them.

On February 13, I did ask a question about shipping addresses which they answered. However, I have repeatedly tried to email and call them since then and received no answer. One of the email addresses they gave doesn't work, no one every answers their phone, and today their voice mail forwarding system was turned off. I seriously believe that they may have stolen my computer and my money.Desired Settlement: I would prefer they repair my computer and get it back to me as soon as possible. Baring that, I want my money back and my computer returned.

Review: Well I prepared a ticket with them 1/6/2015, followed their instructions. Sent my cherished device to their facility located in HOUSTON, TEXAS. They received it based on the [redacted] tracking on 1/16/2015. Within 6 days, a representative called me and said payment is needed to begin work. She said "it is definitely fixable. The good thing is its only the logic board that is damaged. The bad news is that we have to send for that part." I said okay. "I would rather hear fixable than severely damaged." She said "you will need to submit $568. "I said "okay can I have that to you by next week or so. "She said " you will need to get that in quickly, after 8 days we will have the right to sell your device auction style or use the parts."

So now I was upset, but I was desperate to have my device back. I agreed to get her the money. Then on 1/23/15 I get a weird text (which I have if you need it), from [redacted] at [redacted] that a payment of $349 has to be made, and then another message that said it has to be made by 8pm that night for storage fees not to be added.

Payment was made by credit card with $349 to begin the work and supposedly work started. Then I received an invoice less than 4 days later requesting the balance. She informed me that it would take a few weeks. So I left them to do their work.

They began corresponding with me now through email that they couldn't reach me several times because the number they had on file was [redacted]....when the last four digits are -[redacted]. They had the number right when they contacted me for payment, and texting for payment, but to give me an update status or tell me about my computer, the number they had on file was wrong..really??

2/14, 2/15, 2/16 I left them voicemails. Why should I leave voicemails when I called to have my computer serviced I always got an operator, now there is no customer service available? However the decided to write me an email, saying they received my voicemail, and are working on my system and that they ran into difficulty with booting and have to outsource a logic board.

3.9 they said the logic board they received was defective and they have to outsource for another one. Finally my husband got fed up and generated an email on my behalf -responding to their last update." (read below)

"thank you for this update.

I am sending this communication after numerous attempts to contact your organization.

I have lost confidence in your ability to provide the services that you have advertised. Please make arrangements to return my equipment and all parts, along with my full refund for services not rendered.

I expect my equipment and refund in 5 business days. 2 months to do a parts replacement far exceeds my expectations. "

Since then they responded (3/22) with

It is 4/1 and no response, no call, no device. Nothing. I sent them another email today regarding my displeasure with the service.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back, and my computer and all of its parts. I spoke to different [redacted] reps and they have said that it should never take that long to repair a logic board. At this point I will not be referring their services and I will be weary about any repairs they have done. I will be taking it for a follow up diagnostic at [redacted] I am concerned with my privacy of my device and its hard drive and I believe that my sensitive information may have been accessed. Nothing can undo the feeling of being violated, but I would appreciate my funds being returned to me expeditiously as I paid them in that manner.

Review: I have done some investigating on iSpillrepair.com and see that there is a handful of negative complaints out here about this business already, but since the owner Dominique [redacted], Austin Texas, hasn't returned my 15" macbook pro retina in almost 3 months since receiving my water damaged computer, and is unresponsive and unreachable to any attempt of mine to reach out, it is my obligation to write this complaint.

Facts:

1) The company received my computer March 4th 2015 (Fed Ex tracking https://www.fedex.com/insight/findit/nrp.jsp?tracknumbers=[redacted]&opco=FD... />
2) I paid the company $924 the same day they received it, March 4th Paypal Transaction ID [redacted]) After 40 days and no update on my computer, I opened a dispute on PayPal, which went as follows:

From Buyer - 4/14/2015 08:29 PDT

Dear owner ispill repair, I have paid you for the repair of my late 2013 MacBook pro retina 40 days ago. The owner of the company has changed his cell phone number and I have heard nothing back as to the status of my repair for close to one month.

I have very sensitive data on my computer and need it returned to me. If you cannot, or will not fix it please return it to me asap and issue me a full refund of the $924.00 I paid in this transaction.

I am very disappointed I have not got my computer or any communication back for over a month.

Please get in touch with me asap through email so we can resolve this issue.

From Seller - iSpillRepair.com4/21/2015 13:04 PDT

This unit has been removed from our repair cue and will remain in a hold status until the chargeback is resolved. Please refer to our terms of service for further explanation of how we handle chargebacks.

From Buyer -4/24/2015 11:18 PDT

Ok can you please send me a new invoice for this repair? To protect me as a buyer, as discussed on the phone, I would like to reverse this charge and have you issue a new invoice, so that if the computer is not returned within 40 days or so I have another chance to dispute these charges. If I close this dispute I have no way to dispute it it in the future, whether you send me my computer or not. I am hopeful and trusting you will return my computer, but I think this is fair and if the reversal of charges costs any money I will pay the difference on the 2nd invoice I am requesting. Will this work for you?

From Seller - iSpillRepair.com4/30/2015 12:36 PDT

The status of my personal cell phone is irrelevant. Our published company phone number is the same and unchained for 3 plus years. iSpillRepair.com does NOT guarantee repair times. All repair times quoted are estimates and each repair has unique challenges. Our policy of not guaranteeing repair times is NOT an effort to frustrate our customers rather a necessary policy to ensure each repair receives the attention it requires to ensure a lasting repair. Repair times on average are between 7-14 days. In some cases repair times may run longer. If a chargeback initiated as a result of the customers unwillingness or inability to work with in our terms and conditions of service the repair in question will be removed from the repair cue until the Chargeback is resolved (NO EXCEPTIONS) If the Chargeback is not resolved within 7 days the unit will be recycled to recoup our significant capitol investment in the repair. Chargebacks may be subject to a $150.00 Chargeback research fee.

From Buyer - 5/1/2015 10:22 PDT

Ok, I am reversing this dispute now.

From Buyer - 5/1/2015 10:23 PDT

Thank you very much for your help.

PayPal Note: Buyer confirmed that buyer and seller reached an amicable resolution on this Dispute and buyer closed the Dispute.

5/1/2015 10:23 PDT

5) Dispute closed, iSpill repair has been paid and as of today 5/28/2015 I cannot get ahold of anyone on the phone or a response from any email I send them. I am out $2,500 at this point thanks and have no other way to get my computer back without taking legal action against iSpillrepair.com.

All I have heard is excuses as to why my computer wasn't finished, but the company will not respond. I need my computer back please!Desired Settlement: I would like my computer returned to me repaired or the computer returned as it was and my $924 refunded.

Review: Ispillrepair.com received my computer for repair on February 20, 2015. On February 25, 2015, I paid $649 to have the computer repaired. The iSpillrepair website estimates repairs to take 7-10 days. Throughout the month of March, my girlfriend and I both attempted repeatedly to contact iSpillrepair in order to get an update on the computer's repair status. Despite repeated voicemails and email inquiries, we were only able to get a hold of an iSpillrepair representative on two occassions. On the first occasion, we were told the computer would be sent out by mid-March. On the second occasion, we were told the computer would be sent out by March 30, 2015. On April 2, 2015, we attempted to contact iSpillrepair multiple times to determine whether the computer had been shipped. We were unable to speak with anyone from the business, so I disputed the charge on my credit card. Today, April 6, 2015, I called iSpillrepair and spoke with a representative named [redacted], at extension #[redacted]. [redacted] would not tell me whether the repair was completed, but would only tell me that the computer would not be sent until the charge dispute with my credit card company was closed. I told him that I would be willing to pay some of the initial charge for the work that had been done, but that I wasn't comfortable paying the full amount considering the slow and non-responsive service provided up until this point. [redacted] was very rude and told me to look up the dictionary definition for the word "estimate" when I stated that 29 business days for a repair quoted at 7-10 business days was unreasonable. I contacted my credit card company and they stated that all they can do is dispute the charge, and that I should contact the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I want my computer back as soon as possible. I am willing to pay a portion of the $649 for the repair, if necessary, but not the full amount. I have not received the service I was promised, and I do not trust that the computer will be sent even if I do remove the charge dispute through my credit card.
