My recent experience with IT Landes was like something you would expect to hear about on the Today Show’s Rossen Reports. Three visits from and $350 to IT Landes and their ‘expert’ concluded my AC mini-split had an unrepairable coolant leak in the inside unit which lead to a bid for a $3,500 new system.
I called another HVAC company and within 5 minutes, using a sniffer, their tech found the source of a coolant leak at a flair fitting outside which only needed a nut tightened to be repaired.
I’m trying hard to conclude my AC repair experience with IT Landes was based on incompetence and not something worse but I’m having difficulty.
I brought this matter to the attention of the company president who didn’t respond.
One final note, the IT Landes bills included charges for a mix of coolants, R22 and R410. The service manager assured me it was just a billing error. Hummm. Be very careful!
